Thanks for the info. I didn't realize you can't regulate the pressure on the autopress.

I am glad the autopress didn't exist when I bought a press... or if it did exist I am glad I didn't know about it :) (It is very attractive! I would have wanted it). I got a fairly industrial looking clamshell that I believe is 9 x 15 and it has met all my pressing needs. However, I haven't been doing as much of it now as I was doing when I purchased it. But it is always there for me when I need it.
I felt I needed it because: I went down this very expensive little rabbit hole a few years ago when I was using Ghost White Toner to print t-shirt designs in white toner onto a transfer sheet that could be applied to garments (or other materials). Ghost also sold a kind of sublimation toner product where you could print onto the transfer sheets in a toner that produced something very much like sublimation. These things required a lot of pressure. I don't really do it anymore because I didn't really want to sell t-shirts and how many t-shirts can I really have? But also both had some limitations and challenges and eventually, I just moved on to other expensive rabbit holes. Though that was probably the most expensive one.
If you haven't heard of the Ghost White Toner and Sublime Toner, it is an interesting technology. but it really cost a lot of money to get set up to do it only to let it fall by the wayside.
