- This was our first stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel. What better way than to start out with a bang? Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. Explore the most expensive Disneyland Resort Hotel with us to see if it’s truly worth it. From the views to the employees, you will be in awe of how luxurious this hotel truly is.
As of March 1, 2024, the Art of The Craft tour is done every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday starting at 2pm PST.
We did use our magic key discount to stay here, which was $775.50 a night not including taxes. We only spent one night in this beautiful hotel and it was not nearly enough. Thank you for a great video! We’re staying at the Grand Californian for the first time in August and I’m so excited. We’ve been to Disneyland 7 times previously but never stayed on Disney property.

I live in So Cal and stayed at the Grand California hotel years ago. It was awesome, best hotel stay ever. I want to save to stay during Christmas 2024. It is super expensive, but for special occasion.

During check out day where did you park ? I'm worried if we stay there one day but do the park check out day that we'd have to move our car to a different parking spot
Whenever we went, they allowed us to park there and we didn’t leave until 6pm checkout day. They held our bags so we didn’t have to carry them and take them to the car because we immediately wanted to go to the park after checking out. However they did mention that it depends on their parking availability. If they have too many guests that are also parking with them then we had to move our car to the Toy Story lot, Mickey and friends or Pixar parking lot. So I recommend asking them when you check in, they should know their availability for the next day. Hope that answers your question!
Since your room wasn't ready when you got there, how did that work? Were you able to leave your luggage at the check-in desk? Staying there this summer and we'll be getting there in the morning.
Excellent question! They did offer us the option to check in our luggage. They give you a ticket with the number of bags/luggages you checked in. Since we were able to check into the park early, we did shop around. We were also able to check in those items with our luggages after as long as we had that ticket they originally provided. That way we can go into the park and not carry around the items we shopped for. Once our room was ready, they brought up all of our bags/luggages and the items that we bought afterwards. Hope this answers your question!
