- Gods be good! The time has come for Mal and Jo to take their place on the Iron Throne and dive deep into the Season 2 premiere of 'House of the Dragon.' They begin with their opening snapshot and discuss the excitement of returning to the wonderful world of Westeros (04:50). Then they begin their patented deep dive and go scene by scene for all of the action and intrigue that the Dance of the Dragons brings (09:44).

The first thing my husband and I thought of when we saw the opening credits was the Bayeux Tapestry too! Saw it in person last year on our trip to Normandy! Glad to know they took inspiration from it!

No one will say it so I have some thoughts - HOD is not great.. if I need a 3hr recap show to understand what’s happening in a show, then something is wrong.
This is what they do though. Not sure if it’s natural or has become their shtick, but they go long on a lot of shows.
You don’t. They don’t do the show for you.
Hopefully you don’t need a three hour recap to understand. If you do, consider watching something more your speed.

If we are being real, without the name Blood & Cheese, not sure it would be THE event in people’s minds. Not sure it’s even top five for moments in the Dance.
The fact we're only getting 8 episodes per season i s why so many things (wrongfully so) are so compressed or omitted in this series. I think its a BIG mistake. I understand this show is a huge undertaking for the makers but how great this show would be if we got 12 episodes like older HBO shows

No, like I'm down to go deep with them. Their star wars series coverage is great. I love Mal and Jo but this one had so much nonsense and it took 4 minutes for them just to get through the reminders... I just don't think the episode was worth this length. Maybe at 1.25 or 1.5 speed. Lol

Just hit skip until they start talking about the episode like the rest of us do.
Also there is no such thing as nonsense when these two podcast together.
