We often forget that the God who destroyed in the old testament is the same God who loves in the New testament. His judgement and wrath will come. I left the church 10 years ago and SG was one of the only bands I could revisit and still get something out of. I stumbled across this recently and have found so much affinity still again. I have had to make some very hard decisions about the company I keep lately - poor leadership decisions in my spaces - and this helps keep my head above water. I keep asking for that bad faith leadership energy to sink, too. I’m not a Christian these days but I have so much respect for those that walk in integrity and are doing work some people in my corner of the world aren’t even doing. I endlessly appreciate y’all.

I want to say it's regarding the allegations that have come forth from the Southern Baptist convention of hidden sex scandals, and child predation, covering the preachers, allowing them to continue to preach at different churches within the Southern Baptist convention, and they continue to prey on women/children elsewhere. There’s also the notion that the church denounces anything to do with LBGT, yet allows this stuff to run rampant so as to protect the pastors guilty and their families.
