- How to clean your Dyson V12 Detect Slim™ cordless vacuum's Lightweight soft roller cleaner head brush bar.

The Soft roller cleaner head has a washable brush bar - check and wash regularly, or as needed. Ensure the machine is disconnected from the charger before removing the brush bars. Be careful not to turn on the machine.
Wash the brush bar using cold water without detergent. Remove as much excess water as possible, allow at least 24 hours for the brush bar to dry completely before reassembling your machine.
To clean the head and laser, wipe with a clean dry cloth.
IMPORTANT: Brush bars from other Dyson cleaner heads should never be washed or submerged. This could cause damage not covered under your Dyson guarantee.
Don’t put any part of your machine in a dishwasher or use detergents, polishes or air fresheners.

Hey Dyson, Please explain why the roller brush cannot be washed with detergent? How about the bin? Can I remove it and wash it with soap and water?

Hey Dyson, can I wash the roller brush with some detergent if it’s touched oily substance?
Don’t put any part of your machine in a dishwasher or use detergents, polishes or air fresheners. Only use tap water to wash the parts of the machine.

I did a little water on the other part of that bc it was full of Avocado 😭. Do you think the Laser is now damaged????
I've just bought mine from Currys, the head did not have an on/off laser button so the laser just remained on. Is this normal?

Hello Dyson, at 0:19 it says "Remove the end cap but don't wash it." - I accidentally washed mine, along with the brush bar.
Can you please tell me why this piece of plastic should not be washed? Does it contain any electronics?

Hello Karti. Some parts are not meant to be soaked but rather wiped down with a damp cloth. Please allow it to fully dry before putting the machine back together. If you have any troubles with the cleanerhead, please reach out to your local Dyson Support Team.
@@dyson Thanks for your quick reply. Just to clarify, this plastic "end cap" doesn't contain any electronics or other sensible parts does it?
So after letting it air dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours, it will be as functional and good to go as it was before washing? Thanks

Nope you should be fine! Just make sure it's 100% dry.
I took this completely apart and cleaned everything. Still telling me airway blocked when I put the head on. Though it's completely fine without this head. What is wrong Dyson?

How frequently should the brush be cleaned?
We recommend anytime you have noticeable debris beyond hair and fibers that may occasionally wrap around the brushbar.
Can you use soap or not?

Hi Monique, we'd recommend that you use clean water to clean your soft roller, but if you do use soap we'd suggest making sure it's rinsed thoroughly and dried completely before using it again.

Hair gets tangled around 2 points within the head. Not showing its removal is unhelpful, and misleading for potential customers.

Dyson, please make reaslistic videos. No one is going to wash a clean brushead. No one is going to wash a dirty brushead with bare hands as it is unsanitary. Please update your videos to show realistic brushead cleaning for v12 detect slim/v12 detect slim extra.

lol I’d absolutely use my bare hands. It’s just dust and hair or fur, not toxic chemicals. It’s the technique that matters, which is clearly shown.
