Hi Sports Injury Clinic. I recently had a minor injury to my right knee, which I suspect is the lateral ligament. I believe it was a strain (or sprain) and not a tear. I went to a local sports physiotherapy clinic where I live, and I purchased not only a knee brace, but strapping tape as well. Honestly, as annoying as strapping tape can be, I prefer the support that tape offers, over braces. Could this technique that you've shown us work with strapping tape? It's unfortunately all I have.
hi DR. I tore my hamstring about a year ago which after it healed, it came with a nagging/stabbing outer knee pain which i thought was an IT band syndrome to this date. I recently did an MRI and the results were: -Bone contusion at the fibular head -Chronic sprain of the LCL A articles i try to look at suggest that buy now it ought to have healed itself. One year down the line am still in PAIN. Does it mean that i have to get reconstructive surgery?

Please let me know if ACL is complete tear then this taping will work or not?
A torn ACL cannot be healed / compensated for by outer tapes. Speak to a doctor about your ACL.

What type of tape is this - ie; brand, etc? I've used rock tape for injuries in the past. thanks

Useless. No way that makes any difference, no way. This is a tape brand commercial to make you waste tape
