Original comments: "This track (01) seems to both fade in and out. May well be an improvised jam. I hear A Love Supreme quote? At the end Stanley starts a short solo segment that fades out. Next track starts with a solo part as well. Maybe there were some technical problems recording the first part.
[**] Apparently Lopsy Lu was reworked and renamed for this 1988 recording of the “If This Bass Could Only Talk” album. Liner notes say: Working Man, a post Zeppelin Version of Stanley’s 1974 composition Lopsy Lu.

Listening to that first track again and comparing it to the “If This Bass Could Only Talk” album, I hear some resemblance to “Stories to Tell” from that album, going into the mentioned “A Love Surpreme” quotes."
Thanks to Philly crew, brikmop & ledwhofloyd.
