Apple makes good, serviceable (well, not very service friendly anymore, but… ;) ) products, but they’re really leaning hard on the Apple name and reputation as ‘the cool kid’, when there’s no real difference between them and their competitors, Android is just as capable as iOS, and actually superior in many ways (remember, this is coming from a guy with 40+ years of history using Apple), if I wasn’t so institutionally invested in the Apple ecosystem, I’d probably be using Android at this point, but I still won’t use windows if I can help it, old habits die hard and all ;)

Another reason they can get away with charging it that high is maybe people think Thier apple devices will be incomplete without a microfiber cloth also from apple. I can imagine sales people in an apple store convincing people to buy a charger, a microfiber cloth and a case and say it's what alot of people buy. This is something they can just tell thier sales people to convince people to bundle with thier iphone and pay the $20 premium. Especially since it's made by apple people might think anything else that goes with it wouldn't be as good for Thier apple devices. Now i am sure apple could introduce random nonsense like a charging port sealer charge an even higher or same price as thier cleaning cloth and people would buy it being convinced they need it.

Apple makes good, serviceable (well, not very service friendly anymore, but… ;) ) products, but they’re really leaning hard on the Apple name and reputation as ‘the cool kid’, when there’s no real difference between them and their competitors, Android is just as capable as iOS, and actually superior in many ways (remember, this is coming from a guy with 40+ years of history using Apple), if I wasn’t so institutionally invested in the Apple ecosystem, I’d probably be using Android at this point, but I still won’t use windows if I can help it, old habits die hard and all ;)
This strategy wasn't common, Apple made it common due to customers like you that would rationalize even the most ridiculous things they throw at you
He's not a fan boy, he calls this out accordingly
This video and Apple could have easily been summed up if it stopped right around the 15 second mark.
Fun fact: in Brazil this cloth costs 1/6 of a minimum wage (:
hourly wage?
@@6bim4uYGfeGSM4jdEm9g2 monthly wage
Disagree with the point about it being the same as other cloths, I’ve tested it head to head with off-brand ones and it’s way way way better. I was skeptical until I bought it too.
I just wonder what the deal is with the number 19 with their accessories. 🤔
25 dollars in Canada -_-
Just to make it 20 with 1 dollar tax
I feel like it is a cal back to the old MacBooks Pros that came with some cloths like these, and another thing those MacBooks came in was, ports.
Great video 👏🏼
It sold out in 48 hours?!?! What morons are buying that shit like hot cakes? It’s scary what is company can get away with.
When iPhone X released in November 2017 it was sold out in less than 10 minutes. When Apple released AirPods Max in Decmber 2020 it sold out in 8 hours.
@@m3gankillerdolldance Its a cloth bro…
Apple can sell anything and customers are willing to buy it lol!! Example: Wheels for your computer for $700 and a cloth for $19
ikr
They should sell regular nail clippers with the Apple logo on them. Just to see what happens…
“Keep your nails neat and tidy so you don’t scratch your screen! Guaranteed to extend your screens life by 87%!”
They’re practically doing a giveaway……………but to enter you need to pay 5000$ 😅
Standard wiping cloth: $1.99
Same cloth with Apple logo stamped on it: $19
🐏
I fail to understand whether this channel is genuine Apple supporter or some sort of satirical channel
It’s just a cloth but more expensive
I love how this guy for real tried to advertise a 19 dollar cloth, of which you could get the same quality if you just folded the 3 dollar on
You can't get the same quality though
@@loughrey101 exactly pay atleast 1000 dollars for the cloth.. even better give all your property to apple they need it... Poor company 😢
I agree with headphones and adapter being gone, I have at least 8 of each. I don’t even need the usb cable, everything charges wirelessly these days
Nicely defended apple
I mean luxury car brands are far worse in comparison. Rolls Royce Phantom floor mats cost 500 USD for the whole car, but likely marked up at least 10-15x the original msrp when you add it up.(I'm talking about the lamb wool mats)
That reasoning doesn’t change the fact that it’s still the most overpriced cleaning cloth ever. And I own a lot of apple devices. Lol
The real reason is the Apple logo on the cloth.
"Apple cloth" got me on the floor laughing
If the quality is perfect I don’t mind to pay 19€ or $ for a cloth. As well as I don’t mind buying a Mac or iPad/iPhone for the quality that I receive once I pay that amount. Same as food, if it is sourced and you know how and where is made and what kind of standard some companies have is good to pay more because everything from materials to details and longevity is worth more money.
I agree. You get what you pay for. Buy this, buy it once. The Apple chargers last 10+ years. An iPhone can work for 7 - 10 years. Apple TV works perfectly for 10 years etc.
@@BarcelonasHotCrowd Exactly. The quality and good materials aren’t cheap (especially talking about the aluminum that they use for all of their devices)! My iPad mini retina it’s almost 10 years old and it’s my daily “TV”. Since I bought it I’ve never used the TV anymore, and it can still run games!!
Have a nice day 😉
Apple's soon gonna release their $9 "Eraser" and call it Innovative.
I think it's actually worth it as no other cloth cleans my M1 Pro 14" MacBook Pro's screen as well.
Hahaha, you are fully hooked on Apple's Koolaid. LOL
@@enadegheeghaghe6369 look at his pfp, he’s given up on having his own opinions he just repeats what his fav company says
@@firewhite These are my own opinions. I have tried and wouldn't have bought the Polishing Cloth if the other cloths I used would've cleaned my MacBook's display spotlessly, but they didn't and left annoying marks I couldn't get off until I got the Polishing Cloth.
@@davidempire4874 I think I would agree with you I don’t have one but I could see it being best for it
@@davidempire4874 it’s literally just a micro fiber cloth, my friend bought one and i did test it, it’s literally the same thing but with an extra less 18 dollars in his pocket
Meanwhile dbrand INCLUDES a microfiber with all those benefits (embossed logo, reinforced edges, etc) with a 19$ SKIN
also I actually thought it was a mousepad at first, but of course that would make sense
I think this pandemic has taught people the importance of multiple streams of income. Unfortunately having a job doesn’t mean security rather having different investment in the real deal
Yeah, that's right
Despite the market fluctuations in price or its volatility people still make good fortune off volatility too
Investing into crypto for an average investor with no technical knowledge approach towards trade entries maybe short term or long term investments. Having a knowledge could actually save you from losses
l agree with the fluctuations because a market price has never been stable
Understanding real institutional investment is the key to success speculating in the financial Market, when it comes to Crypto or stock options, inexperience is not really a problem, the challenge is finding the best strategy that suites you . I make huge profits $8,000 weekly on my investment since i started trading with Mr Dave javens trading strategies are top notch
Why is white an advantage on a cleaning cloth if you’re going for design? Wouldn’t that make it look dirtier faster?
White is apple’s signature color. If you see this cloth on someone’s desk, with the white color, you would instantly know that it’s an apple cloth.
@Jadel Labradoodle251 this is all about pure consumerism and hedonism, a shift away from our values toward materialism and disconnection (I am an Apple user)
Apple car: wheels should separately.
apple be like: bro u really cant afford a 20 dollar cloth
I recently purchased the Apple Cloth for the $19 price. I was a bit skeptical but went ahead and got it because of the design and it’s thickness. Plus I like Apple and it’s a great feeling to know that with Apple, you’re getting a high quality product from a well known brand.
The apple cloth should be marked up more.. 19 dollars is too less... You should pay them atleast 200 dollars for the apple cloth such high quality cloth
I dont think people are stupid enough to buy this cloth! the sold out in 48hrs is obviously fake marketing!!!
This cloth is worth it, I don’t care what anyone says. At this point, Apple logo = luxury
so u will buy anything with just apple logo? Great, i just bought a new iphone and got apple logo sticker in the box would u buy those sticker for $999! as u mentioned u would not care! just asking!
@@Toddlerterminator when people say logo as luxury, what do you expect to say? the value should be for the product not for the brand!
@@Toddlerterminator I did but the comment didnt make sense!
This guy is a stan. "Generously" including a $8 cloth with a $5000 display that doesn't even have a stand😂😂
I really hope this is a joke... he was being sarcastic.
Greetings to y’all, Please I’ve a quick question here. Can anyone here tell me the best ways or means to invest my $120K sitting in the bank? Any ideas..
@Dennis Schulz That’s amazing, thanks for your suggestion and also passing such information to me, I do appreciate. I’ll surely get in touch with her.
@Ariana Smith It's true, when someone is good at what he or she does, there would be good recommendations about them. Seeing how many are talking good about Genevieve Glen Rogers, I must say she has made a name for herself through her genuine services. Today I have a lot to show after a long term investment with her. Honestly, I am happy with my decision
@Ariana Smith Genevieve Glen changed my financial status positively. Just last year I started an investment plan with 250k in blue chip stocks with Genevieve Glen Rogers and today I already made 650k return off my investment.
@Alexandra Roy Having your capital managed by an experienced financial manager remains the best way of building good investment portfolio; they achieve that with Strategic investing. Regardless of what type of investment you choose, there are certain intangible truths about investing. “Strategic investing" means taking on an appropriate amount of smart risk the kind that boosts return within a well-diversified portfolio
I first saw people recommending Genevieve Glen Rogers on a UA-cam video. Though I was scared at initial, I started with $5k and have made more than $60k within two months. Working with her is the wisest risks and decision I ever took.
We missed you 🤍
People just feel good knowing they have overpriced items when the smart thing to do is to avoid Apple and just buy something that works the same way and is cheaper.
Find me a smart watch that works the same as an Apple Watch, and is cheaper. Let’s have a conversation then.
Find me an ecosystem as good as apple, And we'll have this conversation later. It doesn’t even have to be cheaper.

Dominos pizzas Spokesperson said, "We are a technology company, that happens to sell pizza."
Apple is similar they are a fashion company, that happens to sell tech.
Congrats to everyone who is early and found this comment.😀
I bet they did spend an embarrassing amount on r&d but still at least make it 14.99, 20 just makes it a slap in the face.
Apple can sell anything and anyone will pay for it 😆😆😆

I can’t believe you found a way to defend this cloth.
No extendable storage? No earphone jack? No cloth? More money: Brand premium recognition. If people still buy they continue to do it .
The name of the channel should be "Apple Justified"
Quick answer to why it's expensive : It's made by Apple
Steve looking down on apple wondering "What the fuck are you doing Tim?"
can’t wait for the separately sold 19 dollar iphone manual
"apple generously includes the cloth with your 5 thousand dollars purchase"
right... *punches the man making the video throught the screen*
Because they know people will buy it
Apple’s explain video in the future:
Why did the iPhone cost money
They were originally going to sell a $300 cleaning cloth but those dissolved and exploded when placed in contact with water.
If literally any company (apart from supreme or gucci or something) sold stuff like apple for so much money literally nobody would buy the stuff.
my man trying to find any god damn reason y the 20 dollars cloth is better than a regular cloth
To be true the stand and the wheels are just so expensive because they are aimed at preofessionals, just like RED Cameras are. About the charger and earbuds, Would just givbe them away anyway because i use a 65W Anker Nano II.
