They sell little sound boxes on Amazon, and I put the recording on that and sewed it into a lookalike plush, putting the activation button in the tail. For anyone that still has time to get a recording of their cat purring, I recommend it. It helps.

It's just something to do with our psychology, we have naturally associated the purring noise to be a relaxed and positive response from a cat, so we enjoy hearing it
우리애랑 같이 잘 때… 우울증으로 한창 고생하던 때라 침묵을 견딜 수가 없던 때가 있었는데 그때 항상 내 머리맡에서 자던 울애 고로롱 소리 듣다보면 진짜 너무 안정감이 들었었음. 편안하고 포근하고… 지금은 집이 많이 기울어서 전세사기 당하고 이리저리 이사 다니느라 반려동물 못키워서 강제로 이별함. 이모네 집에 있긴 한데 이모랑 치고박고 싸워서 보러가진 못함. 내가 학창시절 동안 죽지 않고 버틸 수 있었던 건 다 그 애 때문이었는데, 애랑 떨어져 살고 난 후 진짜 우울증이 급속도로 악화돼서 일상생활도 못하고 인생을 날려먹었음. 그래도 지금은 알바도 하고 일상생활도 어느 정도 할 수 있을 정도로 호전됨. 이렇게 나아지니 우리 애 생각이 더더욱 많이 나더라. 내 인생의 전부, 나의 유일한 가족. 보기만 해도 사랑스럽고 사랑한다는 말이 자연스레 나오던 내 아기. 내가 유일하게 행복하다고 느끼던 때. 지금은 몇년이 지났는데 이제와서 애 다시 데려오면 스트레스 받을까봐 그냥 맘에 묻어두기로 함. 그래도 너무 억울하고 서럽고 사무치게 그리운건 어쩔 수가 없더라. 못난 나한테 와줘서 너무 고마웠고, 얼마 되지 않는 시간동안 나의 전부가 되어줘서 고마웠어. 지금도 내 전부인 아가, 꼭 다시 만나자.

Bit of a vent but my neighbors have been blasting loud music so much so that another neighbor made a noise complaint. So now whoever it is making noise has retaliated with even louder music, with the volume up so high that I can feel the vibrations, it's been aggravating my chronic pain by triggering flare ups and I keep getting migraines due to it being played non stop. It's a living nightmare but drowning it out with the washing machine, TV and this video for emotional support helps a lot. My migraine reduces to a slight headache as long as I keep this video playing. Thank you so much.

I lost my last two foster cats and it gutted me. The last boy had seemingly never lived in a house and didn't seem to understand petting. But he made so much progress in a month and i was so proud of him. In the end he loved cuddles and did a lot of purring. 💔 The kitty before that hated the shelter and was jumpy and hissy there. At my quiet home, she blossomed. She cruised around and checked everything out, and played with the toys very vigorously! She was determined she would shred every piece of paper in the house before her bedtime. I always praised her for a job well done. I would give anything to hear that purr again.

Bit of a vent but my neighbors have been blasting loud music so much so that another neighbor made a noise complaint. So now whoever it is making noise has retaliated with even louder music, with the volume up so high that I can feel the vibrations, it's been aggravating my chronic pain by triggering flare ups and I keep getting migraines due to it being played non stop.
It's a living nightmare but drowning it out with the washing machine, TV and this video for emotional support helps a lot. My migraine reduces to a slight headache as long as I keep this video playing. Thank you so much.

I lost my last two foster cats and it gutted me. The last boy had seemingly never lived in a house and didn't seem to understand petting. But he made so much progress in a month and i was so proud of him. In the end he loved cuddles and did a lot of purring. 💔 The kitty before that hated the shelter and was jumpy and hissy there. At my quiet home, she blossomed. She cruised around and checked everything out, and played with the toys very vigorously! She was determined she would shred every piece of paper in the house before her bedtime. I always praised her for a job well done. I would give anything to hear that purr again.
I'm away from home right now and I miss my cat so much, this is really soothing but also making me miss him even more :')
