I would have been so happy if they had have just released a straight DOD port to the source engine, I never liked DOD:S as much as the original, playing online back in the days of WON, very fond memories for me, by the time DOD:S actually came out, WON had been shut down and the original DOD was dying a slow death (here in Australia atleast) and releasing DOD: Source just stole more players, I still yearn for the days of playing the original on stupid custom maps like Legoland.
The graphical upgrades in DoD:S are great, but I prefer the original DoD for the additional content it has. The British Army, German Paratroopers, and extra classes rounded out the in-game arsenal nicely. Plus, the shooting in Source always felt off to me. It was always much tougher for me to land shots in Source than the original version.
Very informative video! Now I understand why Day of Defeat: Source lacked so much content compared to the original GoldSrc mod and retail version. I would agree that this Day of Defeat: Source would have been incredibly disappointing due to the lack of graphical improvement and cut content. Such a shame they didn't do the same thing with Half-Life: Source. Oh well, at least we got Black Mesa out of it.
I wished it got Bots
Video on Day of infamy? it is kinda dying it is such a good game
Maybe, but first a video on DoD, cut mortar class.
Day of defeat global ofenzive. It would be nice.
I would love a Day of Defeat: Global Offensive, if the name doesn't fit much, swap Global for Allied? Day of Defeat: Allied Offensive, how does that sound? Like CSGO, it woul have stream lined gameplay, new maps and game mode, new weapons, graphics up to today's standards, Steam Workshop, I'd like to see the, content that got cut when going from mod to retail and from GoldSRC to Source come back, or at least some of it, more varied factions/player models, the British, Resistance, Italians, Japanese, Canadians, Russians, etc... and maps from around the world, well, the parts of the world that where at war. I don't have much hope tho... I know Days of Infamy exist, but like, it's different, it doesn't play like DoD, it doesn't feel like DoD.
Loved this game..Sniper was op xD
So 2nd?
Wait, you just made a german accent thou you’re german?
