Thank you Mr.Maloof for preserving such treasures midi recordings are a wonderful way of keeping the great organist talents alive for all of us to enjoy and for future generations .

Clarification, Rick. This 'particular' recording was recorded on videotape with natural sound. There was no midi installed at the times I saw, and heard, the organ. They were all natural air-voiced pipes and percussions. Some installed high around the walls, plus the ranks in the chambers. However it was incredible how Kay, at his age, was still more than Capable of the precise fingering demonstrated! More, please!!

I have an LP recording of Kay playing the Wicks theatre/classic pipe organ manufactured for Oral Roberts University in the 1950s. He played the same excellent arrangement of "Who" on that.

What a wonderful and sparkling arrangement of Who! Earlier today I listened to Kay's recording of "Who" that he made on the Wheeler Wicks organ way back in the early 1970s. He really had it then and he obviously still had it at his late age for sure when he recorded this video. A good friend of mine called me last week mentioning to me that Kay may come to Wisconsin for another visit but that same day he learned of Kay's passing.

This console is the original Kimball from the New York Roxy and Kay is a legend in his own time !!
I was lucky enough to see and hear him at The 5 manual "bijou" in Wisconsin.

A documentary about Kay McAbee would be worth it too. Maybe i get a bit into sentimentality here, but the way he looks and plays, reminds me a lot of my granddad playing piano or organ in my early youth.

I knew Kay when I managed the rialto in Joliet il.. He was to the organ ,what Liberace was to the piano. When he played his concerts, he had a 3x5 card on the organ. (No music). I asked Kay what was on the card? He said " oh, those r the songs I'm going 2 play"

Any hints, tips, or tricks on getting a tour of the property? Last year I booked a tour of the museum not realizing it wasn't the same. I enjoyed it and got on their mail list for events.

I have known the Maloof family for nearly 35 years Uncle Phil, Mike Maloof, Tom Maloof and George Maloof, George's children, Joe, Gavin, George Junior, and Phil Maloof, and their sister Adrian, and Colleen their mother believe me they are a beautiful family. I remember sitting with Phil Maloof listening to his organ in his home in Bel Aire Estates in Las Vegas Nevada. Uncle Phil loves his poodles Napoleon and I can't remember the other ones but they are some spoiled little pups. I extended a personal invitation for the Maloof family to come and visit me in France in to visit one of the newly purchased castles I acquired you're probably wondering who I am well, I Am David Mayer de Rothschild board of directors of the world banking system.
