The real problem with Beruka isn't just that she's in the same class line as Camilla, but that she is such an insane unit that Beruka comes off a lot worse than she actually is due to the inevitable comparison with her lady, joining both times exactly at the same time, in the same classline, with worse bases and a lower level. I think Beruka's pretty good still as a Wyvern Lord, but it would be easier to notice her qualities if she had gotten even a chapter without Camilla around. Like, Scarlet is also not as good as Camilla, but since she's in Birthright she gets to shine without one of the best units in the series standing next to her doing the exact same thing but better (though tbf Scarlet IS better than Beruka).
Having the personality archetype of another class(assassin) atypical of their current class(wyvern rider)? I always love those, count me in. I'm the kind of person who usually always plays with the setting of "have only one of every unique class" and I still have use for beruka generally.
Thank you for Beruka content. She is one of my favorite units in Fates and I‘m happy for every bit of attention she gets. And using her as a Fighter/Berserker is my normally go-to way when playing Conquest.
You overlook Beruka because Camilla exists. I overlook Beruka because I don't like wyvern riders. We are not the same. In all seriousness I should probably give her a try next time I play conquest (whenever that ends up being). Who knows, maybe she'll be like Charlotte and become one of my favorite units once I actually use her.
Charlotte is such a fun unit! I've got great memories of that time I made her a Great Lord. Swords and lances meant more accuracy, while she could still destroy everything lol.

Girl had 100% hit and 90%+ crit on everything in the game and deleted anything I threw her at. Great Lord sounds like a fun idea, but it's a shame that we're locked to only one per save.
Also she's worth deploying even if you don't want to train her. +str+def pairup with flight is always useful and she brings it immediately and at a time when other units probably don't have it yet
ive used beruka alot in both cq and rev and she's definitely underrated. in rev having another flyer is always good due to various island maps. and in other situation, compared to camilla stat wise, she has higher skill making her more reliable with hitting with axes and higher def allowing to tank physical damage better.
Ya I find the hole one of every class thing to be hilarious like in my current play of sacred stones I have 3 paladins,two bishops and 3 wyvern knights.
Berserker Beruka with Sol is such a fun delete button that tanks like a champ. When I brought her to chapter 26 and saw the Heroes doing single digit damage to her, I burst out laughing. Absolute madwoman
I honestly I tend to use beruka because you can't truly go wrong with a wyvern but that's actually a intresting thing if I ever play conquest again I'll try it.
I did use Beruka in Revelations when I was doing a run while limiting my grinding, and she worked wonders the moment I switched her out of Wyvern Rider. She ended in Hero and became my MVP for most of the game
Man do I love dominating Off-Meta Builds! Reminds me of the time I went Swordmaster Olivia and Assassin Severa. Now I go from Dancer Yuri (Avoid Ring + Forged Training Sword) to Great Knight Goldmary, Warrior Etie, and Paladin Panette!
I used Beruka in my first Hard run and Married with Xander. Beruka Is very Solid unit and she can relaibly hit. While she has good defense, Her Low luck makes her bad for tanking. Her Personal gives her good damage output as well when reclassed to a ranged class like Ninja ,(Kaze S)/Bow Knight (Selena A+ or Laslow S).
I've been enjoying Beruka the second I started playing Fates - she's an excellent unit in her own ways. Fighter compliments her very well in the sense that she keeps her Axe rank and Gamble works very well with her innately high Skill growth. Only thing I could say is that I'm not a fan of her Speed growth, but Kaze and Niles are excellent choices for fixing up her Speed issues.
Beruka was my conquest Waifu. I played BR first, so I knew I wanted to use Ninja for range. Beruka ultimately finished as Berserker, but Master Ninja was fun.
I had a run once where Beruka just hit every single one of her growths consistently and wound up extremely bulky and just barely missed the benchmarks to one-round Lunatic Takumi. It was glorious. Unfortunately, I’ve never again gotten one to actually level speed. Also her support with Laslow is amazing, and she’s a solid mother for Soliel, gameplay-wise. Not quite as good as Selena, but still pretty strong.
Beruka has always been fun to invest in. Berserker is potent enough to trade flying for, and she's even one of the better users of Hero imo. She can be built to do almost anything, and then she can turn Selena into a better unit too. Selena wants Wyvern really badly, and unlike Camilla, Beruka can give Selena +5HP/+10Crit without a friendship seal.
She's basically a flying Lex from FE4 except Axes in new games are good and options to cover her weaknesses whereas Lex has canto and can grab a brave axe at base plus holy blood that makes them actual immovable physical walls For something like conquest mounted pair up is so needed for mid game maps and her personal bonuses to partners of def and skl is also appreciate with Arthur and Charlotte for enemy phases or skill procs While not Camilla Beruka is always worth Cant say the same for Subaki
It often happens with units that join in the same class next to each other, and one of them is clearly better. Beruka in a vacuum is fine, but next to Camilla, who is one of the best units in Fates she looks bad. Maybe if they did something interesting with their recruitment like how Hinoka is better in BR, while Subaki is better in Rev, that would've helped. But that would require giving retainers some autonomy, like how Saizo and Kagero join way before Ryoma (it's sadly the only instance of this being the case in Rev).
Sir, you and I both know that you CANNOT have 2 or more of the same class. The cartridge will literally implode. If you’re emulating, the pc freezes and doesn’t unfreeze until you change the unit back out. It’s physically impossible to do so. Even if it was. The mental toll required to use more than 1 unit of the same type is on the level of omega threat mutant Charles Xavier, WITH CEREBRO. The identity crisis you would be imposing on the multiverse would be incursion ending. TLDR: I thing Beruka is great.
One time I tried to have two of the same class on my team and I had my door kicked down, a bag put over my head and my family taken away in a van. Never again.

I know lol dlc/path bonus items but I had great success with Beruka by turning her into a Dread Fighter and switching to daggers. Her personal screams ranged weapon use. Think I even defeated Ryoma while his arena effect was on with Beruka.
Overlooked? She’s my s-support in my first cq playthrough. The girl can tank, dish out big damage numbers and crits reliably. Also shes very cute (this is important).
Zerker Beruka and her partner Master Ninja Kaze pretty much carried my last lunatic Rev run. They complement each pretty well since zerker pair up fixes Kaze's str, and ninja gives more than enough speed for Beruka to double almost every unit save for some ninjas and adventurers, + Kaze with decent forged weapon will kill every mage for you. Rev is deffo much easier than CQ but I could see this working well in that route as well. Alternatively you could just use Beruka as a str & def rally bot. Definitely a Beruka enjoyer now.
Instant fighter beruka isn’t necessary imo she is just too good for flier utility and Kaze absolutely eats up her pair up bonuses in Wyvern rider. Now hear me out: fast friendship with Selena and pair with Kaze. Promote and instant heart seal/friend seal to hero for sol, and partner seal to master ninja. If she’s low on str, go zerker for a few to get some points.
I find that Beruka's biggest issue is that she starts in conquest tbh where it's really hard to train her And it's hard to justify doing so over all the amazing units that conquest provides. If you put her in birthtright she would be so much better and would be one of the strongest units in birthright. She is a lot more fun to use in rev though because she gets access to a lot more fun stuff.
Also beruka in fighter is like a less defensive but speedier fighter benny which is also one of my personal favorites because he becomes unkillable and can have decent speed with enough training.

Beruka actually have decent base stats and personal skill gameplay wise, though what really make her shine is her high atk and def stat. Although the downside to her is that she requires a second seal as well as a long more investment when compared to Arthur and Charolette. But overall, Beruka is among one of the units that get outshine by most of the early cast in conquest.
Honestly, she doesn’t even need that much investment. She’s perfectly happy staying in wyvern until heart seals become unlimited. You’ll probably miss out on some speed waiting so long, and she does struggle with speed more than anything, but this is Fates; fixing one bad stat on a unit is relatively easy as long as they aren’t as slow as Benny.
Why use Beruka when i already have Arthur, my only downside with him was if he didn't kill, the enemy probably crits him back. But my Arthur killed alot.

I'm not a fan of instant fighter beruka. Wyvern is really good when she joins. I would say she can go zerker later, but wyvern is really good then too. Honestly she can just stay wyvern rider/lord all game and be fine. I know, cuz I'm using her right now.
True, her flying utility to ferry people around and dive units is very useful. I will say the +5 hp for fighter really does help her early game out though as her health pool is probably her weakest point
