  • “And the Know” is a series that explores the Black history that they didn’t want you to know. In this episode we look at the impact that Marcus Garvey had as the first international pan-African leader with a militant response against white supremacy. The early 1900s were an era of racial terror for African Americans, but Garvey had the courage to stand toe-to-toe against anyone in the way of Black liberation.

Do the proper research! Via his arch nemesis and Jamaican political rival --Norman Manley, indicating that Marcus Garvey's presence in Jamaica could cause insurrection, Marcus Garvey was officially ordered (summons) by the British Crown (all Jamaicans were owned/British subjects), to come to England. He lived out a restricted and monitored existence by the British government. His political/UNIA activities were severely curtailed. He was not allowed to travel anywhere. His wife helped out as much as she could. He had a similar death as the Haitian Revolution leader Toussaint L'Ouverture; alone and cut off from his people in a foreign land. Meanwhile in Jamaica, Norman Manley's cousin, Bustamante, became the peoples hero in place of Garvey. After Bustamante, the next hero of Jamaica was Norman Manley's son --Michael Manley...

He did some incredible things but I didn't hear anything of where he received Christ as Lord And Savior. So what did he do for the African Americans in America's? And Jamaicans? I don't see what the praises about.

Not all African Americans are Christians, do they deserve less recognition and praise just because they lack faith?

Dane se Cristo! Os negros sofreram muito com os cristianismo branco, o Cristianismo existe apenas para controlar a sociedade, não serve para educar, é uma religião que mata e matou milhares de pessoas.
