I discovered through some electrical testing, the spade terminal in the drivers fuse box (just forward of the RPO sticker) is switched ignition. No fuse taps needed.

If the spade is down and fuse is flipped it's always on power, which also activates all the plugs and 12v receptacles as always on.

@@FlipSideGarage sweet ill skip the blue black/white wire and just do the greens thank you!
Ok bro got something funky going on. My system hit hard, BUT it sounds muffled. Like cloudy. It's hard to describe, but get this... when I use the 4way switch to adjust my mirrors my woofers make a amplified adjust noise.
What’s the name of the boot you ran power through? I fucked mine up lol. The harness is fine but there was existing 18ga wires going through it and my 4ga wouldn’t fit so I just pulled the whole boot to the side
The engine harness/firewall boot?
Very helpful. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Where did you get the tap add a fuse? I can’t seem to find one that will fit
I have a distributor that sells me these fuses as autozone doesnt have them.
Most parts stores have them. I have an O’Reilly in town and they stock them. It’s a “MINI” fuse.
@@jdamico80 there are two kinds of mini. These years are mini2
Were did u get power for the pac box ??????????????
I ended up not using it. But you can tap power via amp terminal power and ground
didn’t show anything, show the part where you spliced the loc into each speaker wire
Did you skip the whole video...last i recall at the 8:30 ish mark.....It shows which wires.
11:04 in the video is when you can pause and see colors.
He tells you that the Green is positive and and Green/Black is negative… with that said that’s all you need to know. If you’re curious as to what wires on the LOC go to what, the 2 negative wires on the LOC go to the Green/Black and the 2 positive ones go to the Green wire. Different LOC brands use different colors for their wires but all you need to know is which are positive and negative which they all tell you in the instructions.
But what I do with left over 2 wires. Got 6 wires. What I do with the black and the blue. Got kicker loc
@@highlifegoodlife5400 the instructions should tell you, usually has to do with a ground and a remote turn on. Some Kicker ones don’t need them wired up and have an auto-turn-on feature via the power detection from the speaker wires
if you see this i need help because my amp didnt turn on anymore it was wired to the terminal that you said it shouldn’t be and not even accessory power mode doesnt work i dont know if its the fuse or the wire because i turn the key half way and it doesnt power the radio on
Make sure the fuse is good first. Fuses can be bad even though they dont pop
@@FlipSideGarage what fuse would that be
@@brandont2780 did you follow to the T how I did it? Power at 12v? Ground signal? At the amp?
@@FlipSideGarage yes i got it to work now i followed what you did🙏
@@brandont2780 hows it sound?
Thank you very much helped me hook up the remote wire!
You are veey welcomean. Glad you got it going:)
Thank you for the video sir.. so at the end of project, what actual wires did you use on the LOC? It doesnt need the power and rem wires used? Just the 4 speaker wires? Thanks again btw for helping people with your time
Correct. I noticed on these that its better to use an actual remote wire from the fusebox compared to the triggered remote wire from loc.
The proper way to get signal is to tap onto both rear R and L speakers, but in this case one speaker signal works too.
Its also optional to use an Audiocontrol Lc2i signal processor, bit in this case. The customer didnt want to spend the money and juat wants it working. Still works great today.
So you left the ground and power alone on the inline converter just using power to speaker wire as power to converter ? Missed that in the video
i thought it was going to be way harder like where i have to take my door panel off or cut into my head unit wires witch i dont want to do, overall thanks for helping me with this
Glad you got it going.
Thank you very helpful video
Thank you. Its not a fancy over edited video like most but hopefully it helps others. Did you get yours going?
Not step by step, where’s the rca cables plug in? There’s no outlet on the factory head unit
Then you didnt watch the whole video.

They sell the harness adapter for the rca's
Where are the REAL Men in America????.....Oh yea...FlipSide Garage!!!!....Bravo. 🍺🍕
Haha I appreciate that
I wish I knew I didn’t have to tap into the speaker wires in both doors
If you did. It doesnt hurt anything.
You should use wires from both sides according to tech support. You will get a better stronger signal. If you only use 1 side you are getting half of the input voltage it's designed for
