How to explain in 4 minutes something that 7 years of english class didn't.
I definitely love you man haha
+Loris LABREVEUX thanks dude!
It's embarrassingly incredible how bad most people are at teaching English... They consistently fail to deal with all the actual phenomena that occurs in real English when spoken by native speakers, leading people to believe they're no good at learning when actually it's the teachers keeping the "secrets" to themselves... but again, you can't expect them to explain what's going on in authentic English because most of them don't have the faintest idea themselves. This channel does not represent anything of the aforementioned, so thank you very much indeed.
yeah and at the same time we were taught the most tortuous and rarely used grammar rules that even many native English speakers are unfamiliar with but we were not informed about the basics like this. I think the English as foreign language teaching programmes were created decades ago before internet or even satellite tv with the professors having visited UK briefly maybe a few times in their lives.
EXACTLY!
what i dont like is.. mostly those people are good at grammar but not at spell.
Hi, this video is quite important for speaking standard English. More often we (non-native English speaker) face some problems to make other people understand what we want say or mean. So, can you please make more videos about English intonation and putting right stress. Again, big thumbs up for your worth videos!!
Yeahhh please. Your channel on UA-cam is great cause you post clever videos on advanced issues ---- for high level students.. We need more of this please.
GOOD, LEARNING ENGLISH FOR SO LONG ABOUT 10 YEARS , IT'S THE FIRST TIME I know so many subtle thing for pronunciation .
Guys, you´re totally amazing! I´m from Mexico, i enjoy watching your videos and i love your british accent ❤
Thank you so much!
+selene g Gracias, Selene!! :D
Hello Papa English, I want to thank you , I've learnt a lot and I adore your pronunciation, many thanks, I'm from Mexico city and I've improved my English. Many thanks, you are a good teacher and very funny as well.
Your way to teach English is very unique, I love it because it breaks the mainstream model about how is the teaching process... I think teaching so many concepts and words in a single video is too much information that generates the illusion of English as an impossible language to learn properly, but that's a big misconception... Thanks for your videos, they are very useful for us learners!
P.S: sorry for my grammar mistakes, my level in English doesn't allow me to notice instantaneously yet, but I hope to improve by watching this channel.
How many other British people watching this were muttering 'please!' every time he said "I want a coffee"? 😂
Great video by the way. This kind of thing (phonetics) is incredibly important when learning a language but sadly many teachers underestimate it and neglect it.
You're one of my best English teachers on YT that is not annoying.
Who do you find annoying? Let's be bitches 😈
As you English says, bloody brilliant! You are my passion!Just can't get tired of your videos!!!I am like a delicate little girl😱

+Stan Man Thanks Stan! Hope your students like it! :D
Excellent English lesson. So useful.
Hahaha, you're so hilarious man. Keep it up. I watch you because I'm an American English speaker and want to get that English pronunciation and the overall sense of how differently you speak there and I'm thinking about moving to England.
Mr. Papa, you are the best. I love your videos and the way you explain everything making it so simple. Greetings from Colombia. 😙
+Marcela Casas hola Marcela! Gracias for watching!!! 😁✌🏻️
Awww
I've just found your channel, and let me say it's amazing! It reaaaally helps me to improve my English!
Important informations. In this sentence I WANT A COFEE The words 'I' and 'a' aren't important. WANT and COFEE must be stressed. I did'nt know that. Thank you for your teachings. I' m learning with your videos.
thank you for the video! i always find intonations hard to learn. very useful and helpful. thank you. love to see more about it.
(1:06) If "I" is reduced to /ə/ then, I think, it is acceptable to say "I'll ask him"/əl 'ask ɪm/. Thus, contracting "I'll" in an even weaker form if I want to emphasize the verb "ask".
You are awesome! Can we get more native british english stuff please!! Thx! (like this one)
Really useful stuff for me. This semester I have a subject called English pronouncination and we are learning stuff like this. I really like assimilation - especially coalescent assimilation. I hope you know what I talking about :D I have an exam on Monday from this, so wish me luck ;) But I enjoy all the lessons so it shouldn't be a problem for me :D
I really appreciate for your teaching videos! It's very easy to understand and easy-applicable! Thank you so much :)

Hi!
As always, I have learned a lot watchig your lessons. Thank you. Now, I have suggestion
Cuold you make a video about the collective nuouns please?
Do you have a video talking about common words in England? For example "brilliant" is commonly used in England...instead of"wonderfull" or "awesome"... thanks !
I really like your videos.
Thank you very much indeed
+Ahmed ghanim CR7 thanks ahmed!
Thank you very much .I really enjoyed it you are amazing
Excelent video. I've enjoyed it very much!
I adore your lessons,
thank you very much indeed. 👌
very usefull and nicely done, thanks
In English books we are taught that "some" is used with uncountables. You use "a" coffee which is uncountable. Am missing something? Thanks
That’s a reason why sometimes I don’t understand native speakers speaking English
Very useful, thanks!
thanks, it's very usful to me.
I love all your videos
Very very very useful video 👍
Thank you Very much
your videos are so interesting.
Do you have a video about the difference between small and little? It´s very confusing!

amazing can't believe...
amazing lesson!!
감사합니다!! thank you for lesson!!
Brilliant 👏🏼
thank u so much
In all the examples of 'Do you fancy a beer' your intonation goes up on the last word except for the last time you say it (where it goes down. Why is that?
Amazing...:-) It was like learning with fun.
Touché!
you know what, you are quite great
Nice video!
why do you use a with coffee? Isn't it uncountable word? In English we don't use a or an with uncountable words. Can someone explain that for me please?
You made my day with "police coming" :D
Could you tell us, please, when BEEN has its strong form /bi:n/ and when it has its weak form /bɪn/?
Thank you so much, so helpful. But still I'm not sure that I understand because from your video I see the words like for instance with, you is without shwa, but word like did you or a is with. Is it a rule about it? :)
Thank you Papa I always wanted a video like this! But I've got a question. "Do you" and "Did you" are pronounced in the same way?
+Kento Tanabe Yes they can be pronounced the same way as I pronounced it in this video! So sometimes you need to get the time from context :/
+Learn English with Papa Teach Me Thanks a lot :)
Really helpful video thanks a lot!
The sentence "The police are coming" did confuse me though. I always thought 'police' was singular so I always said "The police IS coming". Did I do it wrong the whole time?
Nah.. The police is often a PLURAL noun.. An official organisation whose job is to make people obey the law and to prevent an solve crime; the people who work for this organisation
Why do I find it comfortable to pronounce it as /dju/ instead of /dze/ in "Did you"?
I love you papa
A doubt, Ali:
In natural speech, as you said, are all content words stressed? Is there any exception?🤔
Greetings!🤙🏻✌🏻
I love it
a best teacha ever :)
