I love mood polish, I just went to my local salon and I got mood polish which starts off as white with silver glitter, that changes into PURPLE. It's amazing, and keeps this easily amused person completely amused all day!

you should also try solar gel polishes. they have a completely different color in the sunlight :)
doesn't have anything to do with temperature, like this polish, but they turn only outside in the sunlight, even if the sun is shining through clouds. :)

Could you maybe layer the "mood" nail colors with some pretty designs that only get revealed with a warmer ambient temperature? So maybe base coat, then a pretty flower/aquarium design, then cover that with one of those color-to-transparent colors? I'd want to see if that could be done and if it'd look as pretty as I imagine!
cowgirl5155 yes! I've gotten them done in a salon many times like that. you can also do a gel color with regular polish colors (gel color base, regular color accent, gel top coat)

It's so hilarious watching her. I just do my own nails at home, and I've used colour changing polish for a while, so it's quite funny watching this very experienced nail artist (she's amazing) reacting like a new person to this polish.
I've never done acrylic before and I really what to learn but I don't know enough about it so could you pretty please do a acrylic tutorial step by step showing all the tools and stuff

One cool thing people do is invisible stamping.
There's thermal stamping polish, match the "cold" or "hot" color and when you opposite the design shows up!
Check out invisible stamping videos.. ya should find one somewhere. Or 'thermal stamping' might bring em up.

I have been doing my own gel nail polish on my natural nails for about three years now. I am addicted to color changing gel polish because if you have some length to your nail it's like an instant funky French or ombré manicure. I'm gonna check this brand out because their shade range is quite impressive and I love this color!

This is the sort of product that might convert me from regular polish to gel polish.
I see one thing that needs to be said about making a color choice in this circumstance: the hot color will be the dominant color on your nails. Yes, there may be a temperature difference enough for an ombre effect, but the hot color will still be much more visible than the cool color. Watch the video again. Suzie's nails went from nude to mint quickly. It pretty much stayed mint with the exception of the ends of her nails.
Tempered Storm Hey! I switched from regular to gel this year - great choice. I get the ombre/mood/color changing nails almost every time, it really depends on the colors you get and how new it is. if it's new and a mint to nude like hers, they should go back and forth frequently, otherwise they would lean towards the "warm" color
I appreciate that info. My nails are so thin that I wear the glue on kind periodically. I can't afford acrylic or I'd be getting a fill every 3 weeks. Anyways, I loved how the nails looked in the video to the point I seriously considered placing an order. Do you have any recommendations?

Love this a lot! But $20 a pop a bottle and $300 for the LED machine? That's a bit much.
Mikki Goodman right now you can get a machine that she has used in past videos -it's black and has a heart button on it, I'd check 3 months back for a link - which is $30, and you can get good color changing polish on eBay. Also, sally Hansen is having a sale on their gel nail polish starter kit - top coat, base coat, LED (I think) lamp, one gel polish color, file, cuticle stick, nail polish remover pads and acetone for $30.
Mikki Goodman there are more brands that do the same thing but are much cheaper! If you go on wish they have great pices😀
I got my led machine for $80 at Walmart. I don’t know where you live but I’m sure everywhere has a store similar or you could just order from the website still $80.

Why don't you start painting your pinky first and work your way in? I've always wondered why you start with the middle and go to ring, then index, then pinky. You have a higher chance of messing them up like that.
Yes- your right- when I work in my salon I do pinky to thumb/ BUT when working with the cameras I'm focused on the bigger fingers and centre frame - so I start with the longest or ring so you ( the viewer ) can see it clearly - 😀

aren't you supposed to roll the nail polish in between your hands instead of shaking it? and i have no idea why they call it mood changing, it's body temp but i guess mood changing sounds better.
I think they call it mood changing because a lot of times depending on how you're feeling, your body temperature does change and affect parts of your body. When you're relaxed your blood pressure drops, versus when you're angry it'll rise and make you hotter etc etc. Results will vary of course for person to person and different colors will symbolize different states/moods depending on how hot or cold a person runs body temperature wise.
