Contrary to popular perception, rocket launches don't get you high G's. At least not during lift-off. Only later, when the rocket stages are getting lighter (with thrust being identical), do you get to feel G's, but then you don't just experience them for a second or three, but for minutes. Which is why manned rockets are staged differently, to reduce the G's experienced in the minutes before stage burnout.

But we're far away from building electric cars capable of sustaining top performance for a meaningful time, it can beat petrol cars in drag races but in a real race hybrids and ICE will beat EVs, maybe down the road.

so i look it up on google and apparently formula 1 cars can accelerate 0-60 in as little as 1.6 seconds and 0-100 in 4.0 seconds, meaning this roadster can accelerate almost as fast as a formula 1 car. goddamn

The formula E cars if that is what you are talking about are electronically limited by regulations on the batteries. So they could go even faster i imagine. Electricity is as fast as lightning, and has limitless potential. It's only a matter of making electricity more portable. (batteries) and harnessing that power with little loss from thermodynamics via (motors) I see this getting even better over time, but obviously with anything new it will have it's flaws until perfected. We have been improving on gasoline engines for a 100's of years since the non effective one in 1680 came into existence. Even now after all of this time improving on mechanical capability we still squeeze more power out of it. It's only natural as we have mastered gasoline engines. That we move onto some where the limit is the sky again, and i can not wait withing the next 50 years to see how far we can take it.

I’m from 2029, the Roadster was never released. But it doesn’t matter
because Musk and Tesla announced the Model C in 2024, the Model O in 2026 and most recently, the Model N this past spring of 2029. None of them are available yet, minor delays, but 2030 is just around the corner and we expect to see all three models, the C, O, and N, self-driving up and down the highways of the United States of China very soon!

I wouldn't doubt if they will have a 4, 6 or 8k performance data recorder camera. Right now they only go to 4K at 30 fps but Tesla always has a fee tricks up their sleeves. If they were gonna do any of those it would be cool if some how they put a RED or Canon sensor on them. 😂 who knows we just have to wait and see. One thing for sure is I don't want to get a 2017 McLaren 570GT anymore cause of the Roadster 2.0 😂

The Bugatti Chiron has roughly the same drag coefficient as a suv. It needs to suck in a lot of air to cool the engine. Therefore most non-suv cars have better aerodynamics than both a tesla semi truck and a bugatti

Problem w/ electric cars is they can't sustain hard use for long for the time being. Secondly, mining all the materials for batteries is environmentally unfriendly for the time being as well. Gasoline engines still have some advantages.

There are some high powered trucks that might do that, but then you are revving their balls off.
This is exactly why an electric truck with 20 sec 0-60 is great. The electric drivetrain ensures perfectly smooth launch that won't upset the weight transfer, so it allows for a faster but just as smooth acceleration as a combustion engined truck would do with twice the 0-60 time.

Javian Brown well technically u can. Raecars r still called cars. The only difference is like a truck, van, SUV. Those types of vehicle r called different because of shape. Obviously other reasons but still. And most "cars" are the small vehicles and thats y everyone calls them that. Its the norm for that type of car/shape of car. That was prob really confusing lol.

Pun Jab I 0-60 is only a part of racing though. While instant torque is good for racing after exiting a corner, there is too much torque. The Tesla roadster needs a wing and widebody to perform the same as a Taycan.

That won’t happen tho. Teslas are not good for track racing. Every mid engined internal combustion Italian supercar will smoke it in track because they have better handling. And the Viper ACR is the king of track racing.
