Building a Custom Front 3 Link from SCRATCH, Suzuki Samurai Build Episode 11

In this episode I build a custom 3 link suspension from scratch for the front of my Suzuki samurai! I start by mocking up the links using PVC and then fabricating the link mounts using my Langmuir CNC Plasma table.

When ever I weld something like your hyme joint situation where I want to have it slip in easy I always throw a washer in there so when I weld it up it doesn’t shrink too much…. Same thing as your cardboard trick I guess 🤘😎

Right on 🤘I didn’t have any washers kicking around thin enough otherwise I would have done this as well!

NiCe video! What is the extent of these heim joints?

I am using 7/8 heim joint and they usually have a max angle around 30 degrees

Exactly what I was looking for! Did you do any reinforcement to the frame?

Yes I built some 3/16" Frame Stiffeners on the front!
