i'm starting this yr as a freshman, been watching these vids like crazy lmaoo

As an introvert I was barely making friends my first year, I am now going into my second year. I barely went out and deeply regret it. More so, I didn’t really miss home that much, but I did miss my father a lot (he passed from cancer in april 2021, so that made my first year even difficult). So this year I want to do my best to put myself out there.

Compare to this video that is posted Aug 19, 2021. I would go like wow, how was it possible to have a party in that timeline when most places were forced into quarantine. I know when I make it to college during that covid 19 era, party invitations in person don't exists and the only party that exists were in zoom meetings. I mean that would be my first college party experience is being in zoom meetings. I am sure if you are introvert, a zoom meeting party would of benefitted you and in person party is more like an environment where you might be peer pressured into coming out of your comfort zone. So what kind of country did not ban gatherings in that timeline of 2021? I mean quarantine did started in 2020 and still happening in 2021. It sounds like where you come from, social gatherings were not shut down. For me, my first college party was in zoom therefore, I never was forced to come out of my comfort zone.

@@hp2546 I'm not a party person lol, but also even zooming is anxiety inducing for me! They were shut down in 2020 but not 2021. Still had to wear masks though.
@@kev614 Graduating a semester early :) It's been pretty good, though this semester I'll have new roommates. Other ones kinda blindsided me with deciding to room together but not with me. Something with them both doing programs? They were supposed to live off campus (which for me can't do), but then I overheard them applying for on campus apartment. But it's okay, the new ones seem so fun :)
Truth about college. You spent 4 years of your time, energy, money. Once you graduate they say it is just peace of paper if you do not have good connection or a lot of experience.
It’s almost as if you have four years to make those connections and gain that experience 🤯🤯🤯

One thing that makes a tad bit upset is how they say it’s going to be the best 4 years of college but then there are so many toxic people that are waiting to tear you down so I don’t get it. Am I doing something wrong or am I just not clicking well? What could it be?
That is a sign that you need to be comfortable in solitude life. I mean if you cannot detach, this is exactly how people takes advantage of you. Just because you hear so many college student party does not mean you have to be like them. Do not put yourself in an environment to be abused just to fit in. If you say there are going to be many toxic people, cut them out of your life. They don't earn the right to be spending time with you if they abuse you. If you love solitude life and anyone that wanted to spend time with you, they would already be trying to earn your trust.
