I think the way you used this paint by numbers as a sort of sketch out to help you attempt to recreate the painting in its actual detail is the best way to use paint by numbers. I used to think thats what pbn’s were intended for. To be used as just a rough draft for where your forms and any major separation of tone should be and then go in and kind of just use the lines as a guide and go over it and ignore most of it as you keep chipping away at it. I love your rendition of this painting it really inspired me to give one of these a go! I mean Renoir spent 18 months on it, id like to see what his looked like after spending as much time as you did on yours. I think he would be impressed.
Ive been thinking abouyt getting a paint by number just for exercise sake. I havent painted in a long time, and i feel like it would be fun to get back into it by just kind of having a premade outline and trying to make it look like a real painting. Thanks for the tips.
Your doing absolutely great. This can definitely increase one’s understanding of finding hues, values, tones, shadows. Would love to see it completed. Its actually a whole new skill to be able to successfully turn a pbn into a more impressionistic painting in itself. Kudos!👍👍 think I’ll attempt vangogh’s starry night. Seems like the blending should work right in harmony with his brush strokes style.
Bonjour M3, votre travail me plaît beaucoup. Je vais tres certainement m'en inspirer. Vous avez peu de petites cellules sur votre canvas par rapport à d'autres. Est ce une marque specifique ou faites vous vous meme exécuter un canevas à peindre avec une photo ?
You are very talented and your skills are priceless
