This was great, looking forward to the next episodes. The 2 entrances and 4 practices doctrine rings so true in martial arts, as you yourself explain at 20:00. keep these coming!
I heard the story was Bodhdharma said to HuiKe "I'll teach you when it snows red." So HuiKe cut his arm, maybe off, spread the blood to make it snow red. To which Bodhidharma acknowledged.
Great content as ever! Really digging the whole real history of everything 🙌 on an aside can I ask what the scroll behind you reads as? I just like it!! And finally loving the R2 on the bookshelf too 😂🤖
Dude this is really good! You could easily become one of the best martial arts channels on UA-cam. This is Ben, btw, Longfei’s student. If you want any tips on how to reach a larger audience, hit me up on FB.
Out of curiosity, why not also mention the Bloodstream Sutra here? --- Great video. One of the best presentations I've seen on this topic and this history.
A lot of the myths come fro the Southern Shaolin Temple in Fujian the history of southern styles has lineage there and a lot of the history tells u this like hung gar choy gar li gar fut gar and choy lay fut systems as well as white crane and 5 ancestor first and southern taizu quan

Loved the video. Everyone sees the training drills and weapons of Kung fu but few cares to learn about the history. Thank you so much
So much great content. Thanks.
My pleasure
Excellent work, looking forward to all the finer points you will undoubtedly bring to this series.
Came here after watching the third episode. Great job! Learned a lot!
Thank you!! Very enlightening!!
You should do a collab with Jesse Enkamp ("The Karate Nerd")!
👍🙏 Looking forward to the next one!
Oooh lovely intro. That beaming smile at 16:06.
Byron you are the man... Keep up the good work!
Great video! Looking forward to the next parts. Suggestion, you should do the same type of series on Wu Dang and Taoism.

Yeah there are various versions of many of the stories that were spread over time
Great stuff, Byron! Really looking forward to the next one

Thanks, glad you are enjoying it. The scroll behind me is actually Mongolian calligraphy and it translates roughly as "auspiciousness".
Thank you 🙌
Excellent vid. Really enjoyed it! Thanks
