- In today’s video, I will be exploring Mont Kiara! [Good Japanese food in Malaysia?]
I was told that Mont Kiara is known as the "Korean Town" of KL. You can find so many authentic Korean and Japanese food around this area.
Reason why I am in Mont Kiara is to answer some of your comments about Japanese food in Malaysia. I actually went on Twitter and asked for some suggestions as well. So here are my thoughts on it!
Of course, I only tried 2 Japanese restaurants so I can’t really say that all Japanese food here is authentic but at least now I know that I can find some legit food here in Malaysia!
If you know some good places, please leave some recommendations in the comments and I will be sure to check them out!

mont kiara is a fabulous place, happy to see anything about there
Yes!! It is very nice :) and the really like the area alot. So much food and things to see
Mont Kiara is always associated with Japanese expats , while Ampang is associated with Korean expats.
I see! Usually when I ask where to get good Korean food, they always say Mont Kiara. But good to know, that’s why there’s so many authentic Japanese restaurants
Its really feel i watching a legit Japanese TV program in malaysia!! おつかれさまでした!!

@@MalayPanTV yaa can't wait to see another content☺️.hope you enjoy your day in malaysia.and make more interesting videos👍
isn't Ampang is the Korean Village of Msia? Where there a lot of Korean restaurants and koreans?
I’m not really sure about that! But some how when I ask around for Korean food or salons. People always ask me to visit Mont Kiara. I might be wrong 🤔
Mont Kiara is Japan Town, because there is a lot of Japanese staying there.
I'm sure you're telling the truth.
Yeah right I saw lots of comments about it! I wasn’t sure, I knew there’s a lot of Japanese too but when I ask about good Korean food. People always tell me Mont Kiara. Good to know
Mont Kiara has always been a Japantown. But it is only recently attracting more South Koreans. Only few people call it a Korean town.
Oh really? It’s actually known more as japantown? Ah no wonder there’s so many Japanese food there too. But you are right, I called it Korean town before I notice more Korean attraction there instead. Like bbq, hair salon, grocery stores. Well good to know
Very entertaining video ❤🥇🔥😎✌
Many japanese expats live in mount kiara
Yeah I notice there is so many actually living there too
@@MalayPanTV and in condos near japan club (bukit seputeh)
You should come melaka for historic place and food such as chicken rice balls, satay celop, asam pedas, peranakan food, roti canai, coconut shake
Really awesome
where did you get the mont kiara map? lol. dont tell me you draw it.
Haha yes 😅 I did draw it myself. I couldn’t really find a nice interactive one, so I decided to draw one for my video. I hope I didn’t draw anything incorrectly
Wow Arisa, your drawing is nice especially the istana.
@@MalayPanTV omg ...your drawing so nice! Looking forward more videos from you
Do you use an extendable camera?
Noo.. actually it’s all filmed using iPhone 12 Pro Max 😅
@@MalayPanTV I see, I actually meant camera with extendable tripod. Nice to meet you here.
next time can try Kyoto bijin yakiniku at uptown pj
Please try Malaysia food in Bazaar Ramadhan..
I really want to do that!! Definitely will visit one. Do you know wheee is the best one to try?
@@MalayPanTV Seksyen 13, Stadium Shah Alam, Selangor.
You were in my hood! And the places you visited are the same places i would frequent too, and having all these here there really is no need to go downtown. Glad you got the chance to explore Mont Kiara and its vicinity and loving it. Believe me, there are still loads out here for you to check out!
Yes I agree! It was so hard for me to explore the entire place in one day. Not to mention the amount of food to try there. I will definitely go back there
I don't really eat a lot of Japanese cuisine apart from sushi. So now I'm interested in trying out these places as a local!
Nice video! 👍
Thank you! Yes you should!! There’s actually a lot of legit Japanese restaurants in Malaysia! I have yet to explore myself
Is the price of food in Japanese restaurant in Malaysia more expensive or somewhat similar to Japan?
I think if you were to convert. It would be slightly cheaper in some places. But honestly, if you live here and earn the money here. It's expensive!
@@MalayPanTV I'm sorry. I think I should ask if the price is higher or lower instead of more expensive or otherwise. From your reply, I had an impression that Japanese foods are cheaper in Malaysia compare to in Japan from Japanese people perspective...but Malaysians would think it's expensive because of our income level. Anyway, I really appreciate your reply ☺️ thank you.
Try google for Japanese food restaurant in Taman Desa area =)
I have eat this shop fews time, and i always order yuzu flavour with rice 😂
Oh I love Yuzu as well!! Right it’s pretty good place to eat 😊
and one of my China friend saw you at Obondori festival when he upload at wechat 😂
Arisa is a beautiful name
😍😍😍😍😍😍
👍👍
I wonder who is driving the car 🤔🤔🤔
Arisa, do your Japanese prefer foreign foods
We do actually! I think foreign food has a lot more variety of flavors. Japanese food is more like”clean” flavors
👍
I'm stay at a mont Kiara..☺️☺️☺️ let's meet 🤣
First comment.
Nice
マレーシアにはたくさんの日本レストランがあるが、決め手は日本人シエフが直接料理しているかです。
いつもコメント有難うございます!
はい!やはり日本人シェフにより運営されているか、そうでないかで全く違うようです!
