Now this is something I've been talking about for months with no clue how to do it, so pleased to see someone (you 🙂) making good headway with it, very keen to see how this pans out
So glad this exists :D What about input lag/delays? For example, if I'm gonna lower the lows, play with effects or even mute the song for a few ms, will there be any input lag/delay?
Yup - I can't change the speed of light so the system works by *enforcing* a fixed delay. Because it's fixed, and flexes as the internet speed changes, it means you can still mix reliably. Have a look at faraway.dj/ for more info - the current hardware boxes have a 'passthru' button so once you've transitioned from the other DJ, you can go into passthru with minimal (5ms) latency and still scratch / slice / use fx in real-time.
@@geediaitch neat! Thank you! I really appreciate that you took from your time to explain how it works and that you're so passionate about your project :D Kudos and good luck!
Wow!! Amazing sounding and looking technology.... just wondering... are you guys still tipping away at making this a reality... where could I try this out... I'm a DJ currently playing on an internet music station which is called www.unknown.fm and we have DJs located all over the world... being able to do a live B2B would be a game changer for us... and now doubt many many DJ collectives all over the world. Great video... please let me know if a test or demo model is available...?
You got me with "Rockit"... I need this! : )
