SP200 Digital Aerosol Photometer

The DOP SP200 Photometer, and our SP models before it, are very easy to set up and use for HEPA filter testing.
This short video shows the starting position for switches and dials, switching on, our unique user calibration check, and setting the alarm.
This Photometer would then be ready to sample aerosol from the upstream port of the HEPA filter installation, and the Aerosol Generator could then be adjusted to your chosen target challenge.
ISO14644-3 gives 10-100mg/m3 but our Photometers can reliably measure down to 1mg/m3.
Whilst sampling the upstream challenge concentration adjust the SPAN dial until the display reads or averages 100. This makes your mass challenge concentration the 100% upstream reference.
Move the range switch to LOW, and set the ZERO dial to 0.0000, and switch ON the alarm.
You are now ready to scan the HEPA filter or start volumetric sampling, and the display will read %penetration.
ISO14644-3 gives 0.01% as the maximum permitted penetration, but test specifications for different industries vary.
If at any point the measurement exceeds your alarm level the audio and visual alarm will be triggered, and the test fails.
If not you record the largest observed leak, and the test passes.
