Those garters at the end! I remember when things like that could be found in my Mom's sewing machine drawers (and bureau drawers) way back in "ancient history." (I am 69.) :o) Loved seeing all the treasures you found.
I have my 3rd great grannies 1847 Domestic brand coffin top. Very similar, even the ring drawer pulls are similar. Mine has 6 drawers though. Mine has been used so much, you can't even tell there ever was any decals. Gorgeous treadle. Dang! Three keys? My dad had to make me s new one from an old key. Maybe he will make me another one someday. I just have to find a vintage looking blank. The remains of the manual? Good thing it's a coffin top treadle. 🤣 mine has a sheet full of provenance, who owned it and when etc, but no manual.
I have a Domestic-manufactured Minnesota A (Singer 127 clone) that is a fine machine, actually IMHO a better 127 than the Singer 127, somehow LOL. I still have NO idea how to conserve the manual. It crumbles at any attempt to unroll it. I have more research to do on that matter!
@@LucilleCarmichaelPDX Acid paper is really hard to conserve. Museums would know how to unroll it. If you can manage to unroll it get some high resolution photos since the paper won't last forever at this point.
