[Cinematic] Apollyon's Legacy

- In honor of having Apollyon finally playable in For Honor, I have made a tribute. Ever since the release of the game, I thought she simply was the coolest character. I tried finding videos that highlighted her journey, but I couldn't find any. So, I took it upon myself to make one of my own. While I am not a master of video editing, it took about two days to complete. I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I had fun making it.

I really feel that her ideology makes too much sense at times
Yup, insane character for a good campaign. Just sad that it was just a big tutorial. A large scale campaign with army management like Xcom for example would have been an idea.

I think it's fascinating how Apollyon has more characterization than anyone else in the story.

I was always wondering what Apollyon's goal was. But then I realized... She was reminding the factions that they are warriors. The thrill of the fight is their best friend. Apollyon didn't intend to live through her goal. From day one her intent was to die, but she also intended to send the world into its prime state

Even tho the campaign of For Honor is not the greatest, Apollyon is still one of the best Antagonist’s I’ve ever seen

The philosophy that Apollyon follows kind of makes sense, the whole idea that weakness is what allows evil to persist is kind of true.
So glad someone else actually gets the real idea
Her ideology is too much correct at times, and except the whole the whole conquest and etc, It is shown in some real world situations.
She believes that peace will degrade peoples strength, turning them weak and then when an attack does arrive then they will be like sheep waiting to die
Nah, she's basically a living version of that cringe "Weak men create bad times" meme, but the bad times are also good times because "peace is for losers". Her version of strength is "Being able to swing a sword really hard, and being really bellicose", nothing to do with a moral good or evil, or moral corruption. Her philosophy exists to justify a fighting game, it has no applicability to real life. The whole point of the story mode is to show that what she's saying makes no sense.

Weak men create hard times.” And it’s not a cringe meme, but a truth. Look at the world today, masculinity is demonized and becoming a taboo subject. Take USA and UK for an example. Once proud and respectable countries, now laughing stock. Obesity in USA is glorified, children are indoctrinated to LBGTQIAA+ propaganda, young boys and girls subjected to transgender bullshit, transgender men participating in women sports, mental health declining and suicide rates of men rising. Gun violence, school shootings. In UK violence is out of control, you run the risk of being mugged and stabbed.
She is still and will always be my favorite Villain.

they need to make a spin off where you play as her and play through her backstory. if they did though i worry they would make her a sympathetic anti hero. dont get me wrong she has many redeeming qualities but she is still evil to the core
I really love the delivery of Orochi's VA, his defeated "You want war. Only.. war" makes us feel that he won the fight against Apollyon but she won the war. Apollyon's goal was achieved in the end, even in her death.
You mean a war that faded over time? Her goal was destined to wither away as she was obsessed with making others bleed like she did in life. She defeated herself from the beginning my guy🤣
@@Drifter4804 Actually, she causes the largest war in in the history of Ashfeld. An ever-lasting Age of Wolves and conflict that Astrea later carries on in The Age of Tyranny. For only a moment, there was peace. She starts the spark, but a spark is all Ashfeld needed.

Honestly a game where you play as her rising through the ranks of the black stone legion and finally becoming warlord would be amazing
You can custom warmonger to look like Apollyon. And same for the others. Warden can be Daubeny, Julius, Lawbringer can be Holden Cross, Peacekeeper can be Mercy, Conqueror can be Stone, etc.

Fantastic work, really does Apollyon justice. Beautiful song choice and really tells her story well. This video also made me realize her trim is iron and not gold.
Apollon is such a great character I think that she was a very well written one as well back when I first played the story I was so confused on what was happening I actually kind of hated the story but after playing it again and again and again and also certain missions it made me realize that apollyon was the problem she wanted an age of the wolves and she got it perfectly explained by the story one knight that you once fought with and that you saw as an ally very soon became your worst enemy

She's nice. Were I a warrior in this Universe, I'd ask her out. We could go on long raids by the beach and enjoy the sunsets as villages burn in the evening background.

I always wondered what her goal was.
When I watched this, I knew. I knew I couldn't describe it, but I *knew* what her mission was. It made her my favorite villain.

Apollyon is basically both the main protagonist and antagonist of FOR HONOR. Just like Thanos the Mad Titan from Avengers: Infinity War.

Apollyon is one of those people who you don't want to face because everything she does is scary and brutal she is possibly the 2nd best villain out there in my opinion
I think the choice of music for this video is actually spot-on. At first, it's a bit jarring, but it makes so much sense in the mind of Apollyon. It's graceful, uplifting... somewhat hopeful. In a way what makes her an incredibly fascinating villain is that her brutality doesn't come from anger, but rather from a perspective of instruction. She doesn't hate or want vengeance, she accepts the cold truth that is humanity's need to grow and excel through conflict. You could almost say that there isn't any evil in her intent, it is simply a necessary lesson she wanted to share... and you know what they say, sharing is caring. Apollyon did nothing more than teach the world, and teaching is a way of showing love.

In my opinion Apollyon will be one of the best villains in ever, she isn’t a mustache twirling villain that runs from the first sign of danger, she approaches it armed and ready with her army, she has been one of the best villains in all of gaming history

Apollyon wasn't a villain she was lost and became mad and vengeful
No. You can't tell she is mad. Her journey has a bit of vengeance but all that moves her is an ideology. Waging war everywhere to purge the weak and give place for the strong. Observing the lost, the poor, the homeless families, but still trying to proove a point where, in a way or another, results in mountains of corpses and rivers of blood
She was smart and lucid enough to be able to distinguish "predator" and "prey". To gain knowledge about the history and culture of most regions. Not to kill everyone who stands in her way. But to kill the ones she consider uncapable.
Meaning she uses and ONLY uses her power, her experience in battlefield and her armies to subjugate people, not caring for the consequences over the people around and over her.
And she did suffer the consequences. Thanks to the Emperor's Champion. The one there capable to defeat her

where about's did you find most of the voice line's there's a few in there ive never even heard her say like the , asfield i was born here , and the monk once told me , one ive never heard them one's would be great if you could let me now in process of making a little tribute like yourself :)
There's areas in missions where you can click on a prompt near a monument or something and Apollyon has a little monologue about what ur looking at

Her story was understandable. But war is not the answer
In a circus you can see tamed and trained lions, elephants, and even bears. But you will never see a Wolf in a circus.
You will never see a Wolf 🐺 entertaining an audience.
She needs a dlc. Kind of like what Dishonored did with Daud. That was an amazing dlc to honor the villain who started the first game. He wasn't the main antagonist but he was a HUGE deal. Probably the biggest one lore wise.. definitely the biggest.
