Very nice :D Opened 2N3055 power transistor also produces some volts in light. Maby with these it might be possible to run it 24/7 with just sunlight and a cap, or Super joule ringer. Magnetic read switch might also save some energy.
That might be true. I havent tried official switches and they might have too much drag if there is too much metal in it. I had to make my own read switch to make this circuit to work, i also have the coil sideways, so its more pulling than pushing. And it made it to run better cause i have much more drag in my bigger version. I made the read switch by just folding a peace of thin cardboard, then i put one wire through it and small peace on iron wire hanging in the middle of the cardboard frame from the wire, then i put the second wire a little lower next to the hanging iron wire for contact when the magnet passes by. I also put a splinter of wood behind the hanging iron wire to keep the distance smaller and faster to react. Hard to explain with bad english and without pictures.. It might also make some small back EMF that might disturb the action of the circuit. Keep up the good work. Very interesting to see experiments like this.
