These vintage films are taken from the original one off reels and scanned to digital formats by myself .
I also do sprinkle in some modern Isle of Wight film of things happening at the moment .

My friend and I shot quite a lot of 8mm footage when we visited in 1986 including a barracking from the old ladies of the Willow Garden at Godshill.I must dig it out sometime.

Between 1994 and 1996, judging by the ferries and the liveries, red falcon entered service in 94 and Wightlink changed its logo in 1996 to the house flag....

Jeeks - almost 25 minutes. I creased myself at that bloke outside The Taverners in Godshill - maybe he had a restless night!
I don't know the Coopers Inn but that has to be Brighstone @ 11:55.
This has some great footage - love those high views of Ryde at 12:30.
Spotted King Harry's Bar @ 16:45 - I guess this must still have been The Glenbrook Hotel in the 90s?
