    Hi, Doug - nice video!
    I know some people have already commented about how you shouldn't use metal utensils in a non-stick pot, but I didn't see where anyone explained all of the reasons why. Yes, as some have mentioned, you're ruining the non-stick surface, but what wasn't said is that the flakes of Teflon that come off the pot when you scratch it are getting into your food and, by default, into your body. Teflon in the body is not a good thing, so for no other reason you should stop using metal utensils in the pot. Ideally, you should replace the damaged pot because it's going to continue to shed flakes of Teflon over time.
    Other than that, I enjoyed both your recipe and your presentation... rock on!
    Regards,
    Steve

      My mother thought us the same thing. We always threw away any scraped pots. She yelled at us when we used metal utensils and explained exactly what you just said. Glad she did. 😀👍

    Good choice in selecting Bertolli. They make the best creamy sauces. As a side note, outside of home made, Barilla makes the best marinara sauce.

    • @jimdavidson5208
      @jimdavidson5208 6 років тому

      The cheap coated pots sure, might ruin those. A good Instant Pot with the stainless pot, no worries. Wooden spoons absorb your food and are next to impossible to clean safely. Food gets inside the wood pores and the bacteria goes wild. Wonder why your family is on the toilet for some reason?

    You really need to get a wooden spoon, or a silicone spoon, or something that works well with a non stick pan.

    Just by accident came across yours. I was so surprised you used the rice mode, Automatically one would hit the chicken/meat saute etc. I like the change to keep warm mode. So how long did your pot last using your utensil? You must have seen an info demo on how to use? Anyway great tip for the chicken on this receipe

    Sir, please use a long-handled good wood spoon in your Instant Pot. The store bought cheeses are not the best for this dish. Make your own recipe for cheese sauce in the Instant Pot with ingredients you have on hand.....example: butter, sour cream, milk, corn starch, cheeses, herbs...it is best to do that at the end when all else is done....
