Why is it the film makers cannot or they do not ,want to match the facial movements with the actual sounds. Do they think we a re stupid or are they just lazy? Just asking here.
I enjoyed both Brit Floyd and Ausie Pink Floyd last year. Well worth attending. Since there is no more live Pink Floyd. Maybe Gilmour will extend his Europe 2015 tour to San Francisco Bay Area. I saw this performed for the last time by Pink Floyd on May 9, 1977 at the Oakland Arena. Doesn't get any better and life changing than that in my life.
when they played this 6, 7 years ago in Albany, NY at the Pepsi Arena, I am fairly certain that was THE most psychedelic moment of live music I'll ever experience. The sublime washing of musical goo across an enraptured audience who actually shut up for the music......
These guys are really great . Plus they play some of the older and better pink Floyd stuff like this one. Great job! I'd love to see this live with if they come to Brisbane
Not sure if this is the place to reply to this video but whomever was the editor needs to go back to class. The video does not follow the music. The clips of the singers are not even close nor is the actual musical interludes. They are all out of sinq. Who was the moronic editor? But the music itself is timeless.
Clearly you didn't hear later versions of this song. This version resembles more the 1972-73 versions rather than the Ummagumma one. Give it a try, it's worth it.
I have seen Pink Floyd and Aussie Pink Floyd. While APF can never replace the real thing, they put their own spin on the music (lots of old outback rhythms) and honour Pink Floyd by playing excellent music. I throughly enjoyed watching them and gave me the opportunity to enjoy the best music on the planet. Did you know that APF played at David Gilmour's B-Day?
You are finally getting lads...classic Floyd is not about notes, rhythm, great playing, but immersing yourselves in the mysterioso vibe of floating textures and indefinable moods. You are not there yet , but you are finding the way.
Friends of mine go to see these guys and yes they are decent players but I wish people would stop telling me they sound like the real thing, well sorry but clearly they don’t! There’s only one band that sounds like Pink Floyd and that’s Pink Floyd! No one will ever sound like David Gilmour these people obviously don’t listen to the real floyd 🤪
Your friend could not see these guys anymore. Now they are Brit Floyd. Some old members of Australian Floyd, some new. Like singer, which is ok but not even close to David. I don't know about you, but I saw Pink Floyd live on the last tour and saw Roger Waters twice. I just like this interpretation more.
Sadly I never saw Floyd live but have been a fan since 92 my fave stuff is piper/ the transition period from piper to atom heart mother and echoes/animals lp 😀
@@alanrowland6971 Well, you still have a chance to see David if he decided to play again (lazy bastard :D). Roger is still on the tour. Nick is playing again. Sadly, Rick Sid passed away :( David is the main reason why they have never reunion and after Rick is gone, he said that Pink Floyd is gone as well. Even Roger and especially Nick most likely will reunion, David is so damn stubborn. And to be honest, David solo albums are meh. He's missing lyrics from Roger as Roger missing guitar from David. Anyway, as you can guess, I'm huge fan. Animals is awesome album, highly underrated. Echoes, especially live on Pompeii is probably my favorite. Australian/Brit Floyd I saw many times. Yeah echoes Pompeii is the best version we went to the amphitheater 8 years ago and I stood in the middle watching that footage on my MP3 player How very sad🤣) but it was well trippy 😀 it’s good to see Nick Mason playing again.

An yes, on the left and the right they have tribute to PF, lopping that video. Awesome :)

How very dare you!....just glad that at the end of your statement you added smiley with a wink!....this is the worst APF version of any PF number I have heard so far.....I was at the Apollo Manchester gig on 6/4/08......they did a version of set the controls for the heart of the sun.....now that was cool.
far under the ummugumma version which for me is the best...the keyboard is not the same , and the guitar is not respecting what had made gilmour , singing and playing.
The drum sounds and guitar tone are spot on. However, the bass needs to be hit harder (roger style) and the drumming needs to be groovier. Organ tone and scream are obviously not even close but those are the hardest to replicate.
"Careful With That Axe Eugene" - More like, "Careful with what you take on Eugene" - His name is Eugene I believe. The scream was very far off from the original. As for the rest of it, "The Polka Kings" could have come very close.
yah the live version of this song by pink floyd is wayy better, i listen to it almost everyday. if u like these guys thats fine, but dont compare them to pink floyd caus they cant get any credit for trying to copy something amazing and revolutionary that PF created
I'm from Australia, the original is so much deeper and aggressive, this is to clear and staged for me, I mean good job, but it's not really the same song for me.
@XerxesOmicron hey you need to cool your jets cowboy, you dont even get the conversation. You can never be better than the original. People are coming on here saying that these copycats are better. . I didn't like this version very much. The lyrics is almost incomprehensible, the singing seems at times out of sync, but the most irritating thing is the choice of that liturgical organ, too metallic, disconnected from everything... when, in Live at Pompeii in 1972, Richard Wright entered in the distance with a hypnotic dirge embroidered on his Hammond organ it was something else entirely... but I think that's the price every tribute band has to pay: the inevitable comparison with the original.

I agree with you, however it’s not Floyd and a cover is rarely as good as original.
Seen them a few times, outstanding, could listen to that all night.
I've seen them three times, they do a tremendous job of capturing the vibe and essence of the original music. And Floyd is all about the vibe.

Aside from ranting on about idiots, this song was well re-done by APF. Always a pleasure to hear them
An amazing cover.
People want the same Roger's scream.. take it easy.. this is impossible
It's really not, it's actually quite easy to do.
