  • AI is here to stay, but is our healthcare ready for it? I would overview how we successfully utilized artificial intelligence to accelerate a vaccine trial for up to 3 months. The challenges that we faced shines light on how we can build a future where AI and humans work together for a better and healthier life for all of us.
AI, Algorithm, Health, Medical research, Public health, Vaccines Michael Lingzhi Li is an incoming Assistant Professor at the Harvard Business School. His research is focused on developing algorithms, evaluation frameworks, and tools to advance the frontier of real-world implementations of artificial intelligence and machine learning, focused on supply chain and healthcare. He graduated with a PhD degree in Operations Research from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, advised by Prof. Dimitris Bertsimas. He is the recipient of awards including the 2021-2022 INFORMS Edelman Finalist, the 2021 INFORMS Pierskalla Award and the 2021 Innovative Applications in Analytics Award. AI is literally the definition of a short-cut. It costs a great deal, but it is a ridiculously short short-cut, and has been ever since the calculator (technically the first AI).

@@squamish4244 a calculator is NOT AI. AI learns. While both tools, a calculator cannot think for itself.
