Did you do the nutserts for the bottom hole on the front ones? I'm having problems getting this done.
Great video I always wanted to know how to remove the cowl the one that the mirror always ended up hitting is such a nightmare to repair now I know they can be drilled out and possibly rebolted back in I can repair them maybe with a paintless style repair. And I don't know who's the genius was they decided to be a good idea to spot well that piece that one piece that constantly is prone to getting dented from the mirror why didn't I just have it for the factory with snap push pins or something that would make it easier to remove to repair
What inner fender are you using to cover the back bottom side of the infer front fenders where the factory underlying metal is exposed with the XRC fenders? The XRC inner fender liners only cover the top half of the fender well.
These came with femder linners that cover it up the whole way down
In the instructions, it tells you to drill in those corner pieces to break the spot welds..... What is the purpose for that? It doesn't appear that anything on the XRC fenders is bolted onto this area so I'm not grasping what is in the way that creates the need to bend this piece and drill holes into it. Awesome video. My fenders just came in the mail so I'll be installing soon.
They are spot welded to ur factory fenders so u have to drill the spot weld out so u can bolt them to the xrc fenders
Where does the license plate go?
So looks nice, but watching the Jeep get cut up, and poked full of holes, made me a little queasy.
I tend to do a lot of mud stuff in my Jeep, and I'm thinking without flares, I'd have nothing to stop that mud from going straight into the cabin (I mean, it pretty much does already, but I'm thinking this would make it 1000% worse?)?
Ya but not really the fenders the fact these tires stick put so far but ya I see what ur saying.
@@MILLERSTV Is it absolutely necessary to chop the fender mounts? Or could they be left?
@@majorpay5058 honestly bud I'm not sure I can't remember it's been so long since I put them on
When’s War Woman next? Might see ya there
I really like that armour, maybe someday my JKU will sport that
Thanks ya I like how it turned out to
Just one more question I see you used your DV8 liners. They list these as coming with a inner fender but I never see one in the parts pics did you get one with yours?
Ya it comes with them for the rear is all I got
Great video for this! I am getting ready to install the front ones on my Jeep. I started to take off the center Cowl and those 4 plastic push pins are really in there good! Did you have any issues getting yours off? I wasn't able to see what you did in this video.
I belive i used a tool thats made for those push pins if im not mistaken
And glad it could help thanks for the support
Awesome, thanks!@@MILLERSTV
You're welcome!@@MILLERSTV
so picked up some of the smittybilt armour from a buddy and I noticed you have the DV8 inner fender grill. I was also going to try to throw those on. Did you have any issues with the two? I know you had the DV8's already installed but if you were doing both, based on your install, what would be the best plan. inner fenders first the smittybilt armour or armour first then inner fenders? Thanks, Mike
Ya had to make them fit im home now jeeps at the shop if u will message me tom I will try help with any questions I have crap service here ut went outside didn't want u to think I would respond tha k u for the the support and watching
Best xrc install so far on UA-cam.
Thank u that means alot
@@MILLERSTV truth, in fact I decided to go another direction because y'all were so thorough, I see it's too involved for what I want to bother with haha!
@@Shogunnur ya it's def a involved install but the out come is nice thank u for checking out my video by the way
How did you reinstalled the antenna I have the same fenders but the guy that installed them didn’t put my antenna back😡
Cut the hole out
@@MILLERSTV it has the hole but doesn’t have the antenna mount and it doesn’t have the holes for it was wondering if I could just glue it
@@mayda2727 I bolted this one back like it was originally
Any compatibility issues with the DV8 inner fenders
No it fit all like it was supposed to
13:26 Engage safety squints!
How do you take off the tail light off when the fenders are on looks like you have take them off again
The just unscrew
It didn't work
What size drill did you use to drill the rear fenders
I believe it was a 5/8 but the instructions r purdy detailed so it has it in it but i believe it was a 5/8
Its actually 33/64" drill for the thread-serts
Cant wait to install ours. Nice vid ty
Thank u and heck ya I'm sure you'll like them
What was the tool you used on rear fender nut plates
It's called a head riveter kit and it's made by ASTRO pneumatic tool company. Makes live alot easier for installing the nut certs
I have these on my 2 door. I love them
Ya makes for a really clean look
I installed the same fenders on my jeep thanks to your video. What fender well inserts did you use?
Rears inner fenders is what came with the fenders front are dv8s. And thank you glad u liked the video and it helped
@@MILLERSTV did you have to do any modifications to make the dv8s fit?
@@josenina69 ya we did a lil modifications not to much but did have to do some then even more when we put fox shocks with res on and then lil more when we put snorkel on it witch I have videos on all those if u need it
@@MILLERSTV do you have a video on when you installed the well inserts? I looked at your videos and didn't see anything. By the way do you live in texas? I saw your hog videos and the scenery looks similar to south texas
@@josenina69 no live in north ga and ya I do it's under the playlist for the jk buikd
Love the video, what size Nutserts are those for the rear? also do they come with the kit from smitty?
I'm honestly not sure I cant remember my minds getting old haha
3/8"-16 thread, 33/64"s drill size
My anchors just spin. Can’t tighten the bolts or take my rear fender off lol
Witch ones r u having probs with
The rear drivers side upper bolts. I can see the anchors spinning when I try and tighten them down.
@@Furious_George are u talking about the threaded incerts u have to crimp in ?that come with the fenders? And also I'm up in Alaska signal isn't good here so it may take me a while to respond but I will when ever I get signal again I'm headed towards canada
Yes. Whoever installed them didn’t crimp them in right I think.
How big are those tires? I dont want to get them and my tires look too small under them
35s
Yeah sorry I read further down in the comments
@@Boobienoobie147 no problem at all bud thank u for the support
Have you found any aftermarket hood latches that fit in these front fenders? I tried installing the Rugged Ridge XHD hood catches & they didn't fit in the holes. I really don't want to have to cut into these brand new fenders..
Ya it has aftermarket on it if u will remind me.tom I'll take a pic and send it.to u on here
@@MILLERSTV yes please, and if you can get me the name so I can look them up!
@@QueakScope it won't let me send pic on here

From wildrock4x4.com
millerstv not a fan of the way those ones look, but thank you! Do you know of any others that work with these fenders?
What type of inner fenders do you recommend for this type of armor?
Dv8s
My jeep already came with the armor would i have to modify those to make them fit?
@@alonsojaquez6775 ya I have video up on how we did
Thanks this is a big help. What size tires are you running your jeep looks great. I have 35s and wanted to know it it would look ok with them
3157017 basically a 35.
@@MILLERSTV Thank you your jeep look great. Im finally going to install these
Your welcome and thanks. Keep me posted on how u like them
could you not just rivet them to the body?
What do u mean
@@MILLERSTV just drilling the holes in the rear quarter panels and installing the flairs with regular pop rivets.
@@JohnnyAnderson1 no cause the but certs are threaded so they hold stronger
How did you disconnect the antenna from stock fenders?
U remove the plastic cover and it bolts to the fender
Great jeep.. what size are your tires and lift
315 75 17 6 inch lift its my dads jeep I just do all the work on it lol. I have the tacoma Ive built ive done all the work myself on both his jeep and my tacoma
@@MILLERSTV nice, I have 37" and thinking about doing this kit
@@mikeleonard4244 there not that hard to install hardest part was the rears making sure everything fit good and drilling and putting the insert nuts in. It comes with a hand held tool but its a pain to use id highly recommend getting the tool like i used in the video save u alot of time and headache
@@MILLERSTV what tool are nutsert size?
@@mikeleonard4244 I cant remeber but that kit I used in the video came with like 6 different sizes and one of them fit.
I’m taken them off to much weight.
Have u not done a regear ??? This has 4.88 with e locker front and rear the gearing makings a huge difference anytime up grade that should be a first step in the build
@@MILLERSTV I really want to do a hemi swap what do you think of the new Jeep 392.
@@camronbay1 honestly haven't had any time with them so idk ive seen alot of people doing the swap though
@@MILLERSTV Well one of my friends did the swap the Jeep goes like hell it is a amazing Jeep.
It would look better if the hardware were black.
What kind rivet nut tool did you use?
It's an astro pneumatic tool company 1452
