How did you mark the inner holes on the pass side? I cant get my damn hand in there and now I have about 1/2 gap. When I tried, I drilled the hole off now.
Looks good man! I'm thinking of getting these for my 2 door JK with 35 inch tires and 3.5 inch level kit. What's your opinion? 35's would look to small or won't look good on a 2 door? Thanks in advance!
How difficult would you say the front and rear installations were? Iwant to get these fenders but thought it would be a pain with all the nutserts but it looks like theres not much that need to be inserted
Just came across this; but why is he trying to tighten down the "rivnut" while trying to mount the fender at the same time? The proper way is to tighten down the rivnut before you mount anything on it, then back off the screw; and then place the object to be tightened down, and screw down the rivnut....
That was the "Rivnut" Nutsert tool to tighten it down that came with the kit not the fender I just welded it to a bar for a better handle. Unless a Nutsert starts to spin and you're on the last one then yes you put the Nutsert in first then mount fender.
You could really do whatever you want. I would say anything less than 35's wouldn't fill out the wheel well. Bigger requires lifting so it depends on your budget and how you plan to use it.
With the weather stripping in place there is no gap if you line it all up with blue tape first and drill it then put weather striping in there should be no problems. Mine are very tight. I tightened the side then installed the rear boots cause they don't line up till some of the stripping is compressed.
I honestly don't remember. I did have to special order it though cause it is some random specific size. If you try it with anything smaller or larger the nutsert will spin
This nutsert tool will save you headaches on installing the nutserts. www.amazon.com/Professional-Setter-Metric-Mandrels-Plastic/dp/B07VRLL8KX/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=nutsert+tool+kit&qid=1595024883&sprefix=nitsert&sr=8-3 Also transfer punches would probably work better for marking where to drill your holes. Just info for people getting ready to do this.
I have 37's with 2.5 inch lift, as I have added more weight I have added additional lift I am now at 4" lift and still running 37's. I did have some rub on passenger rear when flexed.
I have a body mount tire carrier now. I plan on making a video. You would have to research the mount. I think its the poison spider you would have the round taillights cause of the mounting plates. I would say no matter what you will have to modify something. I had to cut some relief in some areas. and hat to remove some material to get it all to fit. I will try to post something before next week.
I have these I’m taking them off to damn heavy.
I like the minimalist look of the XRC flat fenders better, and 10X easier install.
stumbled upon this good video cause i did my install last year and there was no videos
should've made one

sure wish i had this video when i installed my xrc kit, I have like 20 holes in my jeep per side lol
2.5 inch springs with 2.5 level in the front cause the bumper and winch. 37 x 12.50 with 2.5 wheel spacers

They wont look too bad, maybe small in the front but the back will look fine.
Inked Devl thanks man!
Would have loved to see the front fender install video too
The fronts are actually pretty straight forward. Simple really in comparison to the rear.
How difficult would you say the front and rear installations were? Iwant to get these fenders but thought it would be a pain with all the nutserts but it looks like theres not much that need to be inserted
Front easy. Rear It was a bit of a pain but overall worth it.
Anyone have these with the conversion CJ round lights ? Think I have to cut out the taillight rock guard on the fender
Did the liner come withe the fenders or did you make them? Thanks for the video!!
They came with it.

Hey what size lift and tire do you recommend for these fenders to have best clearance
You could really do whatever you want. I would say anything less than 35's wouldn't fill out the wheel well. Bigger requires lifting so it depends on your budget and how you plan to use it.
How tight is the fit? I’ve heard people having terrible gaps between body and fender

did your hard top clear with out issues
Andrew Isett yes I recently put my hardtop on and have no problems. there is actually a slight gap between the two.
so if you change your tail light you saying you have to remove the whole back fender
No you can get the taillight changed, chance a bulb etc, with the fender on.
What size drill bit
I honestly don't remember. I did have to special order it though cause it is some random specific size. If you try it with anything smaller or larger the nutsert will spin

What is the lift and tire size?
Jack Woodcock 37 with 2.5 and 2.5 level

Will those work with a body mounted tire carrier?
I don't see why not. You may need longer hardware. I would definitely check with the tire carrier manufacture though.

This should convince anyone *NOT* to do this yourself.
make sure you paint drilled holes
Yes painting is good idea.
