I was impressed by the overall power of these units bass is Incredible I have the soundbar on the wall under the TV so this makes the sound immersion a lot better for what it is and the price its not bad at all

Hey, can you connect a google chromecast on the HDMI in and connect a high speed HDMI out ? (doing this because I have a videprojector and it only has a jack out for the sound)
I have one of these sound bars and they are brilliant. The music is fantastic with high fidelity…the atmos work but you need to be really close to the sound bar to hear it go behind you.

Ive had mine for about 3 months and overall i fairly enjoy it but, when it comes down to the atmos or even the imersive ae, do you feel like the bar performs better being wall mounted or on a stand? Have mine currently on a stand and sometimes all the audio sounds the same. Even when i activate earc on my tv
hi I have my Sony model sa-wct790 device. the base does not link the light is always red when I press the link button it turns green but hard for 3 seconds
Can you enable Bluetooth from the remote controller? or do you have to press the BT button on the soundbar every time?
Hi, is the compatible with the BRAVIA XR-55A80KU? I have been using a lg sk5 with my new Sony tv mentioned above and have issues as it keeps changing between audio system and tv speakers constantly, and the tv source will not be shown. This ht. 6700, does it have integrated UI with the BRAVIA XR-55A80KU?

Why i can't make Bluetooth phone calls with my smartphone being connected to the HT G700?
I can listen music in Bluetooth using my smartphones, no issues, bit when i call with my phone, the voice of recipient didn't came out from the soundbar

I to own it this has a very powerful bass and shakes all the objects there each and every sound is clear in dolby mode

Good review but one needs to connect the Bar via Hdmi to experience it's full potential & firmware upgrades are generally ignored, they can enhance the product performance

1:04 why did you put HDMI cable into regular TV HDMI instead of eARC? Besides you can't get Dolby Atmos using optical connection, it's just to slow. You should always use HDMI and if you enable CEC you can control volume using TV's remote which is much more convenient than using separate remote.
Yes, remove the red sticker and use the e ARC
Does it have the latest firmware? I seen in other reviews that it sounds horrible for music because of the artificial surround

does the display on the bar itself always say "TV"? Or can you dim that/turn off completely?
Hi! The LED display will stay on while the soundbar is turned on.
You can turn it off so it don’t annoy you
Awesome vid. Have a quick problem with this sound bar and wanted to know if you had it too and if so, how did u fix it. The problem is I feel like dialogue in movies is really hard to hear...i have switched modes on the controller and that barely helps. When I raise the volume that helps but it makes the other sounds even louder and i have to lower the soundbar which ends up lowering the dialogue volume. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Hi! I get what you mean, I have a Sony TV myself and I always find they struggle with outputting dialogue at a sufficient volume! I know you can get some soundbars that have a clear voice mode built to elevate conversations like the LG and Samsung sound systems 👍 Sorry I couldn't be of more help! It is a tricky one
@@BoxCoUk Oh So its a "Sony" issue 🤦♂️ I have the KD 65x9000F and a LG sound bar. More often than not, I have to select the "ClearVoice" option on the bar as its almost impossible to hear voice without it, especially if it is a 5.1 encoded vid. Thanks for clearing that up.
PS. How close must you sit to this Atmos system to really feel the 7.1 virtual sound? I am currently 9ft away and can probably do 7ft as the nearest.
Hey bro I have the same problem too. I have it hooked up to my Sony 77” a80j oled tv. Did you ever find a fix? I can hardly hear the dialogue.
I just picked up the soundbar mentioned in this video and I’m quite unimpressed with it. I can BARELY hear any dialog whatsoever. And we have two other sound bars in the house l. An LG and a Vizio, and they both have clear dialogue (crystal clear when compared to the Sony). The base is fantastic but I’d rather be able to hear the storyline than have my couch vibrate from bass
@o.g.5584 never really did...I just started reviewing stuff again for it to see of any1 has said anything bout it...seems like it's just the soundbar in general thought. I'll keep looking and tell u if I find anything
I bought my last week but am finding it hard to use my usb drive on the ht-g700 to play music why?
you cant play music over USB, its for the update purpose only.
I have this. Honestly i cant feel any 3d effect or atmos like you cant really differentiate. 🤷

You know you completely killed dolby atmos support by using the optical cable right?
Yes but it has HDMI connection too, I just used the optical cable for the video. 👍

Why would u connect the bar with optical cable?
Since it has eARC HDMI. As it’s a review of the bar u totally ruined the performance.

I can confirm that it now comes with an HDMI cable(at least it does here in Canada)

It's a little complicated but it requires downloading the update onto a USB and then plugging into the soundbar to install it. What about gaming tho?
Have you tried it for gaming? I pick mine up soon. Ht-nt5 at the minute and tried the 3d audio through ps5 and it sounded awful and tinny. I'm hoping this is much better. 🤞

Had this for a couple of months and found it to be very poor compared to my old Sony ct780 Soundbar, bass performance was particularly poor from the sub.
Ended up changing for a Sonos beam which is much better in my opinion especially once rear SL’s are added.

No, I must drisagree. Bass is coherent with the sound stage. This bar ha SW with 16 cm woofer. I listened another bars with more bass but the midrange was missing. That was attractive but it was not true sound which could be listened on a full range speakers with amplifier.
This is just like the Sony HT-X8500, they just added the subwoofer and LED indicators.
No. In the middle of 8500 there's a double subwoofer (100 W). Here you have speaker for dialogs and a stand alone subwoofer (Bluetooth).
I "upgraded" from Philips HTL3325/10 because I bought Sony XR-55A83K OLED TV...Philips soundbar was gray and I wanted to be "all Sony"...I am disappointed to ay at least...the sound is flat, SW is weak and is at least 20% larger than Philips...go figure...
Unfortunately my £150 Samsung soundbar bought in 2010 sounded better than this £280 Sony soundbar. I thought something was wrong with it - totally inferior sound quality in every way.
The sound quality is brilliant definitely better than something from 2010 and only £150 you must be using nightmode or something I’ve had this for over a year and I would give it 8/10 for a 3.1 maybe the Samsung is higher channels

Do not buy this piece of junk…you can literally buy a cheap 100 dollar sound bar and it will sound better.
I find that hard to believe. Sony has always been a leader in audio.

@CyborgSodaCollects not really. I'd you want the real sony soundbar. You have to get their highend. Actually go for samsung. Far better sound.
@@44pakattack no they definitely have…but this particular sound bar was a dud from the get go. The sound profile they programmed it with was to try and imitate Atmos.
It not only didn’t…but made it so that any mode you put the thing in even when connected through HDMI ARC…is horrible.
Add the fact that they didn’t give you an easy way to update the damn thing…and it’s just a bad product. They finally bought mine back from me so that should tell you everything you need to know.
