In fact there is about 70% to 75% of current existing regulations that can be getting rid of due to hindering market competition right now. - Having laws that are tough on crime ( specifically with violent crimes, theft, vandalism, and violating legal age limit laws ) with also laws that combat against illegal immigration. - Protecting people's rights like constitutional rights, property rights, civil rights, and body autonomy rights. - Having enough funding for basic things like the US military / national defense, the US infrastructure, a few federal departments / agencies that are necessary, and strictly only having two social safety net programs only for the poor and the disabled ( specifically the Earned Income Tax Credit and Medicaid ). I can’t believe I actually use to like bill maher 🤦🏽♂️
It's not surprising. Ten years ago we were all pretty much on the same page politically and socially. With Maher, he's still on that same page while the rest of us have continued reading.
My brother used to like Ben Shapiro. Don't worry, critical thinkers can grow and learn.
He definitely changed his stripes.
He wasn't like this before. Don't feel bad.
This isn't surprising at all. Bill Maher is a secular J*w. Evidently he will side with his tribe. And Jordan Peterson's boss is a J*w . They will never criticize Israel. 😜
I agree with you that Democrats need to move farther left. People have been left behind.
Bill ruined his frontal lobe will all the coke he snorted I think.
What’s Jimmy Dore’s excuse?

It's more likely the alcohol. Some of us who came of age in the 80s & 90s couldn't find their pants if it was cokes fault. LOL!!

Canada has its own mess to clean up before Jordan Peterson can say anything about America. 🤦🏽♂️
While that is true, these things are relative. Canada hasn’t had an insurrection, tens of thousands of medical bankruptcies, race riots or endless wars of aggression yet. The US is well ahead on the crazy meter.

No fault divorce is a scam against men. A wife shouldn’t be able to cheat or get bored and then leave the family with half of the husband’s assets. Last I checked, wedding vows were supposed to mean something. If a husband is found at fault, then he absolutely should be on the hook.
Peterson hasn’t been right since he said clean your room one time.

Blaming the Left for Trump is like blaming firefighters for the actions of an arsonist. It’s irrational to blame the actions of bad people on those who are fighting against the actions of those bad people.
Jordan Peterson: Canada's worst export (and we're the world's biggest producer of Asbestos)
It's also rich that the "excesses" of the right are blamed on the extremity of the left, but the "excesses" of the left are not excused by the REALITY of US plutocracy and racism at home and brutality abroad.
Yeah point the finger, and not offer real solutions
These two men are SO CULTURE AND CLASS BLIND it's hilarious😂
Exactly!!!
Two of the most insufferable unintelligent people there are. Dude, I am so sorry you had to go through that, but thank you.
Other Democracies all over the developed world would consider U.S. as a right wing country. Most other developed democracies have universal health care, parental leave, and more than 2 weeks vacation leave. Many have free post secondary education and very generous pensions. Most also having thriving economies. Yes, they pay more in taxes but most would not trade their way of life for the American way. Check out the happiest countries in the world. Scandinavians who live in social democracies lead the way.
Thank you for diving into the muck & the mire yet again for us all
Ever since I can remember, Peterson has been singing that same song, "When does the left go too far?" Never got a satisfactory answer. Maybe because they don't go too far.
But if one of the main problems with the GOP lies with fears of how far to the Right it could go, the Dems don't help themselves by not defining themselves versus their own Left fringe. Like the GOP, the Dems can make themselves appear irrational by attempting to make their tent too broad. You can't define yourself without actual borders. "When does the left go too far?" Never got a satisfactory answer. Maybe it's because they don't actually know or are simply afraid to say, even in theory.
The 1992 republican convention had half of their speakers speak at the 2020 democratic convention
I mean he's not wrong to compare Trump to Joe McCarthy. Mccarthy's right-hand man was literally Trump's mentor. What's his name? Roy cohn

The Nazis were leftists after all
Apparently you have enough money to wander about the country to attend protests, questionable. Some people might call me an antisemite because I am in support of the Palestinians, not necessarily Hamas. But in reality that is the government they have, and one in which both the USA have propped up conveniently. The truth is Israel just wants that land by any means necessary and if they have to incite war so be it. It’s complicated…..BUT people of Jewish decent are not that special or moral (Harvey Weinstein anybody?) and they have no right to tell our country what to do, and come with your hands out expecting money for genocide. Kyle, thank you for your sacrifice 😢
Eh, there is definitely some kind of dynamic going on where the people on the far left and right are radicalizing each other....it would actually be strange if that wasnt partially to blame given human nature and group tendencies.
WHAT FAR LEFT? We barely have a left compared to the rest of the world.
What's far left extremism? Roe v Wade? Universal health care? Taxes on the 1%?
@@fmbbeachbum8163The far left isnt nearly as violent or extreme as the far right, but it still exists and it can be loud and annoying. It doesn't even matter if they arent equal in negatives, since all it takes is someone uncaring about politics to encounter either one FIRST. Then they'll go to the opposite. You encounter loud annoying leftists? You might skew to the right in response. And vice versa.
You'd be going against the conversion stories of thousands of kyle fans and left wingers if you don't think the "far-left" (again, more annoying, not a violent threat or a political threat) turned people to the right.
I’d be weary about doing a false equivalency here. People being radicalised to the far-left by seeing the rise of the far-right is good. Being an anti-fascist, or just recognising that our current system that is evil on a good day and actively decaying into fascism right now, is a good thing.
Being radicalised to the far-right where you scapegoat some outgroup(s) to blame for the issues that you see with the system when all you are doing is reinforcing the system and strengthening it, is NOT good. Plus, all the far-right terrorism that’s also been rising too.
@@mytruecrimelibrary Well from an objective perspective, (im in Ireland) the american left is actually subsumed with identity, that criticism is true (the right is too in its own way)
Thats just one example.
And things like that are discussed with such extreme defensiveness and faith frankly ...it is a little weird. Not conducive to nuance or compromise or exploration of any point.

Bill Maher sounded pretty reasonable there. Jordan was also talking about Canadian politicians more than likely.
Best segment you've done in a while, bro.
Bill Maher saying the quiet part out loud that liberals would support fascism if it meant keeping socialists or even mild social democrats out of power.
Make no mistake, this being a universal trait of liberals is why we had a Trump era.
Or how about don't choose to go with any totalitarian ideology with maintaining our Constitutional Democratic Republic. Not to mention we need to strictly limited the US government to only doing these type of things.
- Only having a minimum of common sense regulations with also not over regulating the market that would stiffen market competition of smaller businesses and potential successful start up businesses.
Not to mention we also need the Constitutional Amendment that would balance the budget and not have deficit spending.
