@@varelmarais2222 definitely felt immersive, traveling through a road with dozens of brightly lit closed shops with countless graffiti and can see the tall clean buildings in the distance
this song is all fun and games until you realize that this song is foreshadowing the dark future of the show. The first verse of the song is, "I ain't your average sicko". this is obviously coming from David who says that he isn't average and he can handle chrome usage better than others. We could tie the lyrics "My bank account is zero, zero, zero, zero, oh no/ I think I need a hero" to David seeing the sandevistan as the hero that would bring him out of poverty. Finally, if we look at the chorus, "I was teenage outlaw, with no worries on my mind/ and now I'm getting older" These lyrics could be tied to how David lived a less stressful life than he does now with Lucy and his crew to keep safe. Also, "my heart is going colder all the time" could be tied with David adding more chrome to his body.
I had the same experience when it first played for me in the game. I was enjoying just about every radio song but when this one came on I literally wrote down some of the lyrics so I could find it later.
This one is beyond just a vibe, it doesn’t tread too long on either side of each beat, it’s simple, it’s bouncy, it’s great. I do wish it had an extended version though.
When David was going to school, if felt like I was looking at myself. I went to high school in Englewood and would literally travel from 1 side of Chicago (near Stony Island) to the other everyday. You start to become numb to all the crime (robbery, assault, murder) that goes on in the city, no matter how crazy it may seem. The lyrics at the end of the song truly sum up what I would be thinking. "You say its over...its just another day."
Definitely inspired by all the BS "criminal reform" policies done by the democrats. I'm pretty sure Night City itself is inspired by the BS that goes on here in Los Angeles. I might be wrong about that though. I really like how edgerunners has multi colored guns which is a lot like the 3D printed guns people use in California. Nice detail if it is inspired.

That's what I love so much about this show and this song: They have all this high technology, people doing braindances, floating/flying cars and all that advanced shit. But this song is so down to Earth and perfectly fits David, it kinda catches that vibe of growing up in a city.

it also has some strong gipsy/balkan/bukovina club vibes. search for "shantel - Dimineata" it might even be a pitched down sample. and this it what makes it great especially in the context of a cyberpunk-anime. so many influences come together in this whole project. a polish studio makes a videogame of a western rpg, a japanese studio makes an anime etc. its incredible what can happen when cultures instead of fighting each other mix stuff up and create awesome entertainment. i loved cyberpunk from day 1, i think it incorporates so many cool things which can connect people from all over the world.
