I love the private jet video. It's funny, my wife literally came to me the day I watched the video and she had a stretching video she wanted to do with me, the same day I watched the guy talk about how important stretching is, especially as a business owner. Been stretching and doing light cardio ever since and it has definitely improved my life.

Those things like how to run a business or sales team are still super important though even if they don't get many views. It just works out that way because there are a lot more people "Starting" businesses than actually sticking to them and running them.

This is great. I have recently shifted my mindset regarding my career. I am just a cybersecurity guy that was thinking in terms of a wage slave. Meaning mostly I just do the job. I've now been going to networking events and meeting people at levels just above where I am. Learning more about myself in the process and seeing where I could bring value, just over a conversation. I have goals to be a CISO someday perhaps but realize I may get to a point where I may be a consultant or start a business. There are probably so many people out there that are great at what they do but don't realize HOW great they are because they don't involve themselves with the people that run the businesses they are a part of.
Hello, is there any tips on getting started on cybersecurity?
@rogeliolopez4891 put your time I'm as a sys admin and then network admin, learn the ropes. Then into the security stuff. It'll give you the base level of experience to do the job effectively. Teach others along the way and never assume you know everything. We're always learning.

I've always looked at it like this: We're all kings (or queens) of a thing or maybe a handful of things. These are OUR kingdoms. When we try to create a business out of something that we have no expertise/desire of (like creating bedtime stories when you've never had a kid), we're trying to invade another king's (or queen's) territory. Build your own kingdom.
I don't think it's delaying gratification and forgoing the marshmellow. It's chasing an entirely different marshmellow and form of gratification in terms of enthusiasm, interest, and obsession. This leads the person to look like they are "delaying gratification."
