This is so sad. I think for many women their adult child telling them this would at least cause them to pause and spend a little time in the relationship before getting married. It is surprising to me that someone of her age level does not have enough life experience to know that it's not wise to jump into a relationship with someone who has just left a 30 year marriage --or not think about her wealth or platform as a motivating factor for the marriage. Just how??
Because of S *X.. Even the Apostle Paul said it is better widows do not remarry; unless you cannot control your s*xual urges. (I have been widowed 15 yrs. At a younger age than Joni… - Never remarried, never dated. & stay committed to the Lord. I listened to my LORD and my children.)
One day Jonathan your mom will tell you she’s sorry she didn’t take your comments seriously and pause everything to see what happens in time. She will see how gross this male person is and be done. Forgive her now for all this and issues before all of this. In the meantime worship and praise the Lord and take good care of your family. The world knows the issues now so go forward and let God handle those involved. Your mom will need you when she comes to see the truth.
Should not have attended that wedding ...he who love father mother wife(not husband) brother sister ..land above me cannot be my disciple...you compromised...but God willing to forgive if you ask. Jesus said He did not come to bring peace ...but mother will be against daughter and mother in law against daughter in law ...father against son..etc.. Thats way its called the NARROW ROAD... ..its not easy...
My mom remarried when she was 67. At first I didn't support this marriage as I didn't like the idea. I made an excuse not to attend the wedding. Today I can tell you they were happily married for 20 years and passed away ten days apart..... I grew to love this man and he in fact looked after my mom like gold. So just let them be Jonathan. They are now married - they made the bed and they must sleep in it. You need to focus on establishing a career for yourself and to give your children a happy life.
Nobody helps the body of Christ by looking the other way when sexual sin, extreme fraud, and greed take place. With all of the exposure in this season, how can it not be God's hand laying bare people's sins? Our hearts should be contrite and we should be looking for purity and greater holiness in ourselves and our faith communities. Hiding is when sin burgeons, but self-examination and repentance bring growth. In this case, a little girl was SA'd. If we look the other way, the perpetrator could do it again.
@WhimsyF-sr1ns I have listened to both sides. Some third parties have listened too. There's is no clear evidence of the sexual assault you're talking about. Every allegation must be weighed against real evidence for God hates falsehoods and gossip. 1. Why are the accusers not reporting to the police? 2. Why is this story one sided? 3. Where are we told to correct fellow believers in front of non believers?
Case in point” has known for years”. He counseled her, she knew his wife, the rush job and the dates of the time line show zero discretion. Lavish paid for honeymoon by the organization, the phoning, so much. Look back. It’s all there. The facts are the facts. The disregard for the turmoil and criminal activity on the part of her son in law, overshadows all of this marriage. What a mess.
Yes, it's also considered a no-no in counseling circles to date someone you've counseled. DW was privy to information about her marriage to Marcus. It seems predatory to seek a relationship with a vulnerable widow.
Then why did so many try to warn her about Doug? He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. We know of at least two godly women who were close to Joni who tried to tell her she should not marry him, but she was already so deep into the sprit of deception. Plus, he was already married and divorced his wife of 30+ years because he coveted what another man had. He had no biblical reason to divorce her. And when that man died, he made his move. Doug always wanted to be on tv and have his own show, and he wanted that fame and fortune. Well he has it, but the way he got it was wrong. This is going to end in divorce. Joni will be devastated but unfortunately it’s what needs to happen in order to wake her up.
His ex wife knew him for over 30 years and he left her and then assassinated her character on television as an attempt to make him look good. So I would say he’s pretty dangerous
Praying 🙏 for you and your family
You're a wonderful man Jonathan telling your mother the truth! Now it's up to her to realize it!
He was merried that's the problem!! God call it Sin.
Jesus said- ‘ what, you thought I came to bring peace? I came to bring division between mother and father ………… ‘
Amen!

She is possessed. When she first ket doug touched her,, some of his demons entered her. Pray for joni because she is not saved, in my opinion.

If this channel is run by a believer, please don't look for views through fueling division in the body of Christ. It hurts God.

Doug Weiss has been friends with Joni for years. There was nothing dangerous about the choice she made to marry a good friend.

All it would take is for the $$$$$ empire to crumble and a younger beautiful woman - what is built on sand will fall apart.
