Great idea and thanks for the video! I really worry about my kayak trailer security. One thing I would highly recommend is a different hitch pin lock for both your trailer and the kayak anchor. There are several videos out there where they are broke off in less than 5 seconds with nothing but a section of pipe. I researched this and started using a Paclock hitch pin lock. They are expensive, but have a square locking piece that can't be pried off with a pipe. better to spend a little more on a hitch pin lock than lose a $4K Hobie! Good luck and thanks for the video!
Looks good! I need to do something like this. I would add some pool noodle pieces to the top bar and vertical bar to prevent scratches to the yak. Nice job!
I Like it!! Great job!! I’m dreaming about fishing next year. I’ll be better prepared this time around. I did get me a trailer & been working on something like yours, but a little bit different. I’m also gonna add a Bixpy on the back of the yak. Also will upgrading electronics
I have the same issue. I worry i may wake up on tournament day and find my kayak gone. I think this looks good. Just one question have you been able to find an insurance company that will insure a Hobie 360? I called around and couldn't find one.
mtorres052870 thanks for the comment. No, I am unaware of any. But if you find one, I’d be interested to know what you find. Maybe home owners will do it.
Thanks for the inspiration. I had something like that in my head but didn’t think about the swivel point at the bottom. Time to break out the FCAW!
Awesome! Glad it was a help. Blessings

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought about it but it really doesn’t move or touch at all. I still my wrap it in tape. Blessings.
