Thanks for the love on our reactions to 'The Bear' guys! We should be posting the next season right when it drops next week! Hope you're all excited for that.. see you then!
Excited for the next season but I'll have to wait a bit before watching season 2 reactions because of my exams. I'll have to watch on my own then watch you guys
Haven't tuned in to this channel since Stranger Things 4, but I'd be remiss if I didn't commend you three on the improvements of your intro and speaking in general.... endowing much more confidence in expressing your thoughts with insights, calm, and presence. Time/experience has definitely improved your game... all three of you need to be praised for this.
Fun fact. Carmy throws away a small can of tomato sauce in episode 1, so yeah, few hundred/thousand in the trash 😅. Also, kudos to the show for using a Radiohead song that’s not Creep.
i like to think that richie saw the can, said “wtf carmy?” and took it out, saying how it’s a staple to the restaurant and he’s ruining the ‘feng shui’ 😭
I think a lot of people were confused about what the money meant since it was just the money owed to Cicero so finding it just meant it evened out existing debt. But I think what it means is that Carmy has leverage for his new project. He still owes Cicero, but instead of just repaying that debt he can now use it as seed money that he wouldnt be able to access from anywhere else and can pay Cicero off from the profits later. Also, I love that the only member of the cast who is an actual chef (and a famous one at that) doesn't even play a chef on the show. Cheers to Matty Mattheson!
I took it as Micheal, kind of from the start trying to help out Carmy. When he is having that bad dream in the beginning you can hear michaels voice encouraging him. He didnt let Carmy work with him in the resteraunt cause he thought he could do better than that restaraunt. He put the money in the cans overtime, left the resteraunt TO Carmy, and before he shot himself he wrote the note. That was a hint to use the smaller cans that the money was in. "The smaller cans taste better".
The running theme to me is how it is hard to risk without a safety net. It's sad to learn that Mike planned his suicide more than anyone realized, but he left his restaurant family a safety net that he didn't have 😢
JAW's monologue in this episode was literally some of the best acting i've ever seen, and this season - front to back - was one of the best structured shows i've seen in such a long time. i'm so glad that you guys reacted to it!
Excited but nervous for s2 because s1 felt so complete - it could honestly have just been a mini series and would have been so satisfying! The note having the family meal recipe with the small cans note is just so satisfying. I love Marcus being inspired by Carmy and then finding out Sydney was also inspired by him. It was such a surprising instant favorite when it came out. Excited for s2!
I’m not sure if you guys have talked about it before but the actor who plays Fak is actually a pretty well-known chef! He (Matty Matheson) was one of the consultant chefs for the show, and he’s got a pretty popular UA-cam channel. It makes his storyline a fun little joke
This was such a perfect finale to me the writing was top tier throughout the show I’m glad that we are getting a s2 but nervous as this could have been just a great limited series loved the reactions
This was so fun to watch along with you guys even after I’ve already watched it so many times. Probably one of my favorite reactions of yours for any series so far.
This show was so good, and this episode especially, in how someone deals with grief and all the unfinished business that the dead leave behind. It helped me with my own grief and it made me cry like a baby. Can't wait for the season 2 premiere next week!
the monologue was phenomenal. i was so invested that i only realised after it was over that i’d just sat there listening for over six and a half minutes - felt like two.
Never heard of this show until you guys reacted to it and it's sooo goood. I would have been happy without a season 2. That ending was just so satisfying and worth all the anxiety this show put us through 😂. With that said, I'm still excited for Season 2.
I have mixed feelings. Like, good them on their success and for getting a Season 2 greenlit, but this is one of those occasions where the show feels like a near-perfect contained story to me. Drawing things out because of its popularity/success can end up doing more bad than good sometimes. Guess we'll find out.
the season 1 ending was originally meant to wrap up the whole story but people loved is SO much, so they decided to make a second season. And season two is aaaaaalmost here,June 22 , woho!
As amazing as that monologue was, I also have to give a moment of appreciation for how well Ebon Moss-BachRach did throughout the incarceration scenes. He managed to convey such frailty, fear, self-loathing, and self reflection between the scenes in his cell, and that phone call to Tiff. He's been perfectly cast to be an asshole, but I felt so badly for him there.
I always believed that they can give most of the money to Cicero considering they’ve done about two jobs for him in order to start paying the debt At least it would take a major load of stress off of them and they can just focus on paying back vendors and other services the place uses The new season drops all its episode later this month I’m super excited!
Cicero is his uncle, and the loan was to his brother not to him, which is going to allow them to buy a new space and hopefully be a restart for them. They need to leave the past behind them.
Interesting fact about the handyman name is matty matheson. he is actually a chef in real life. He was the executive chef of Parts & Labour, a restaurant located in Toronto, Ontario, Had his own a cooking shows and wrote two cookbooks. The scene where he want to be a chef but Richard didn’t hire him so funny to me because it is an inside joke and instead he's a handyman.
It's a perfect episode, one of the best season finales ever, it's a beautiful ending but it's also very sad to think that Mickey had decided to commit suicide and lasted a long time keeping the money there, spectacular show.
Not really. Usually there's a table read at the beginning, then during filming they rehearse scenes the day of shooting a couple of times, then shoot. A 7 minute monolog is a fucking beast for a pure TV actor. Now stage actors, especially leads, have to remember a whole show because it's done live, but that's why they get to rehearse for months before the first showing.
@@eliezeririzarry247 they rehearse scenes to test different blocking and to get notes from the director about their performance, not to learn lines. They have to know the dialogue before the rehearsal
@@kassiogomes8498 Not correct. I'm sure there are some actors that came up in different worlds who dedicate themselves to acting like it' stage acting no matter what they're on, but TV actors don't memorize a whole script. It wouldn't make sense or be effective time-wise, when they can remember only what is needed for the scenes being shot that day. That's why productions have schedules and actors are only present for the days they have scenes.
@@eliezeririzarry247 shooting schedules aren't about actors not being able to memorize lines lol. They film as many scenes as possible. The number of scenes shot in a day depends on factors like if they are filming in a sound stage or if it's on location, if the scenes require difficult blocking, or how many set ups are necessary to get all the angles. It isn't about memorizing lines. The actors know their lines for all the scenes they have to film. If not, they are being unprofessional.
Richie’s good ending will be when he is done in the restaurant business. He is attached for the wrong reasons, and his anger, is next level. He has shown it way too many times in this tiny season. He also was not defending in that fight, he entered the fight after it began.- Richie needs to look at his life, and back away. Being a cousin isn’t a good enough of a reason to employ someone.
As a chef, one time I made a dish my father in law called the best thing he ever tasted. I have been trying to replicate that FOR YEARS. Still can't quite do it. The pursuit of perfection is simultaneously exhilarating and infuriating. My wife's father can absolutely throw down, and he has experience. That shit meant something to me, so I will always chase that.
How is this show categorized as a comedy for the Emmy’s? There is almost nothing comedic about it. I feel like it’s dramatic and tense like Beef but even Beef has a few comedic moments as compared to this show
Just sent a package to yall but, the message is so cringe because NO ONE said happy birthday to me on Discord and I was so sure they would ... so I'm dying of cringe
This has to be the worst way to watch any show for the first time. Just talking over everything, repeating the stuff that is obviously happening on screen. Wild that people actually do this and like watching this.

Thank you kind sir for the explanation 🫂
I was holding it together this episode until Mike’s smile at the end. Tears. Bittersweet. Such a geat show ❤
Same, as the eldest of three the smile made me cry like a baby. This show was perfect
I lost it at that smile too.
I’m SO glad y’all watched this show! This finale was such a rollercoaster. Can’t wait for next week’s season 2 drop!!

I bawled at the note. Especially after the opening monologue. “I love you, dude. Let it rip.” Omfg 😭
For me it was the final scene where they smiled at one another. Gets me everytime💔

i think they did better honestly. season 2 def delivered

omfg thank you i couldn't figure out why i know him!!! turns out it's because i watched him and brad leone catch catfish a few years ago 😭😭
The last scene got me crying so hard! That smile ❤
When ,,Let down“ started playing i felt chills. What an amazing finale

Same

Let it rip ❤
Incredible ending to the season. On a side note the money in the tomato sauce always makes me think of “There is always money in the BANANA STAND!”
Arrested development reference
I was cried so hard when Mike’s face showed up 😭
This is such a great show, this season finale had me bawling for an hour after I finished it.
Thank you guys for reacting! Can't wait for season 2 ✨💗
I’m so happy you all liked this show! It’s one of my favorites ❤
The Bear... Yes. Totally enjoyed that with you guys.
You guys are awesome and I enjoyed watching “The Bear” with you. Looking forward to season 2👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😎
Submissions for Emmy nominations are ongoing. I wonder if any of them will be nominated
They definitely will. Especially Jeremy and Ayo
❤ I have enjoyed rewatching this so much, thank you 🙌
The reaction to The Bear reveal was great!
Guys the new season of The Bear starts on June 22 …
Amazing show. Im so glad can watch this because of you guys 🥺❤️

well the loan was for the beef and since carmy inherited the Beef, he is now paying it back (the kids hot dog party haha)

FYI The French Laundry is in Napa CA
Top tier writing indeed!!!
This show is sooooooo good
Pound for pound, the best episode on tv in the last five years.
It's a perfect episode, one of the best season finales ever, it's a beautiful ending but it's also very sad to think that Mickey had decided to commit suicide and lasted a long time keeping the money there, spectacular show.
that shit was perfect
Actors have to remember entire episodes. A 7-minute scene isn't a problem.

they're not cousins, that's the best part haha
I hope next season they go more into what happened with Carmy in New York with that abusive ass chef and such
I can’t wait for next week 😌

I'm a big fan os the bear and only now ONLY NOW I realized I didn't watch THE LAST EPS OF THE FIRST SEASON LIKE WTFFFFFF
Thanks to you guys I'm know how Sydney came back (I started the second season totally confused)
