I've since found out that the Fara is made by Mecury, MIKITA (Maniago Innovation Knives Italy) is the name of the collaboration of Mercury, Lionsteel, Viper and Fox knives, their goal is to raise the standard of knife making in Maniago, however, MKM (Maniago Knife Makers) is more than just MIKITA, other smaller companies contrinute to the MKM brand, sounds like an idea for Sheffield! 😂
I've been waiting to see this one for ages, I've seen things like BladeHQ and Knife Centre do pieces on it but I've waited to see an actual review and I've got to say I'm impressed aside from the Teflon washers but it isn't a deal breaker. Good review as always, very close to buying the one in Santos wood as soon as the video finished.
UK Legal Carry Knives I got my Fara on Monday and took a few days to get a feel for it and I have to say I love it. Came razor sharp out of the box, the action is perfect along with the string strength, the belt pouch is very nice. The only issue I've had is it’s fairly off centre, close to but not rubbing against the liner, I’ve seen others and I think I just got an unlucky one for that.
I’m deeply entrenched in traditionals at the moment . If I was looking for a modern high end slipjoint I’d be giving this one serious consideration . Shame about the lack of bronze washers . I’m very suprised they went with Ptfe . Still it’s a looker . I love the grind on the pull . Awesome .
Yeh a i like it , It feels comfy in the hand ,the thing i like about the sheath is that it looks like one of those nerd M.phone cases sticking out the pocket
I picked the aluminium as I like the way it ages in the pocket. Lovely knife but I did find it a little thick behind the edge. Got a lot of pocket time with it.
Great review sir! And absolutely right. For the price and other high premium materials they should 💯 procent loose the teflon washers. They absolutely don’t fit this knife.
In theory yes, but the new ones would have to exactly match the original's thickness or you'll throw the centering of the blade off, I know this because I have tried! Just leave them as is in my opinion.
Just a word of warning with the belt slip, the knife does like slip out rather easily. But thank you for posting a disassembly video, makes giving it a cleaning much easier
Cheers! There are plenty of other options, black Aluminium, 2 types of wood, bronzed titanium, I just thought the grey was the least likely to tarnish.
@@UKLegalCarryKnives Thanks. Would you recommend that over the Mkm fara? Actually, scratch that, I can't find it sold anywhere. Looks like it got discontinued.
Beautiful design, great steel. No real lock and no pocket-clip for a knife priced like this. A pouch included, well if I wanted to carry POCKET-knife in a pouch I'd get a fixed blade knife. Nice shape but with 20th century functionality.

This is the best night of review I’ve ever seen in my life. You are funny as hell
Knife
Thank you sir, greatly appreciated!
I really like the looks of that MKM Fara knife and your review gives nice detail of it's features! Nice job!
Thank you very much!
Just bought one of these and it came with both an upgraded leather pouch and bronze washers, Pretty happy with it
Normally I've got big problems getting out the blade on slip joints, this got a lot to grab on to. 🤘🤘
Congrats on a great new addition. I have the TFG (with pocket clip) in green aluminium; love it.
If I like this enough, I might get that one as well, it looks great!

Let me know how you like it if you get one! Cheers -Al

I've got the micarta version, bought from Heinnie in Jan 2021 and it has bronze washers.
Thanks pal, that is a Bobby dazzler. Enjoy. Atb paddy 👍😃☘️
Cheers man!

Nice review - Just found the knife - apparently it's the cheapest M390 available and bonus it's UK legal. Can you open it with one hand??
Thanks! You can't open this one one handed sadly, and the cheapest M390 I've found is from Twosun.
I picked the aluminium as I like the way it ages in the pocket. Lovely knife but I did find it a little thick behind the edge. Got a lot of pocket time with it.
I'll pay attention to that whilst carrying, cheers!
Do you know if I could use the washers out of a real Luna thickness wise
I'm afraid I have no idea, you'd have to try it.
Have you seen the MKM Celina? Looks really nice. Not sure if it’s UK legal or not.
It is UK legal! Thanks for pointing the Cellina out, looks very nice, I'll be picking one up at some point!
@@UKLegalCarryKnives Exciting! I might have to get one myself. I'll wait for your thoughts.

Can you change out the washers for better washer? is it worth it to do so? I've new to the knife hobby.

One of my most carried UK legal knives, only thing letting it down is the washers.
That was my immediate take away, seems great quality otherwise.
Hey. Nice vid. Just an FYI. I purchased one recently and it came with brass washers 👍
Really? I wonder if they've changed that on all of them?
Thinking of getting one of these. How has it held up?

I have admired this blade for some time. It looks the business. But teflon? Wow. That must save them about 70p.
Exactly! Was it too much to ask? Cheers -Al
Congratulations on the 400! This just isn’t my thing. Too much gray. The slip looks nice though.

What is the knife you used to open the box?
The WE Scamp
