I was in awe each time I saw Vera Ellen dance in films and often wondered why she didn't receive the accolades she deserved. Anorexia REALLY? Do I believe this NO. You clearly made that up. One of the earlier telltale signs of Anorexia is muscles loss. Of all the great screen and stage dancers her muscles were the most toned/developed of them all throughout her career. That was part of the reason I enjoyed her dancing so much as it helped her crossover from one style of dance to the next in such an effortless manner. To me she was the female equivalent in dance to Gene Kelly.
Dancers burn thousands of calories a day in rehearsal and performance. It is inconceivable that somebody working the schedule of a top dancer at MGM could have been starving herself. There may have been something abnormal in her metabolism, but talk of a pathological eating disorder is hooey.
She was awesome.
She was one of the most impressive dancers of yesteryear. She was absolutely talented.
She was gorgeous and the best dancer of her time, if not all time. She was 24 when she was in White Christmas so her neck was just fine.
We miss you, Vera...
0:42-What a beautiful doll! I first saw Vera-Ellen in the Marx Brothers last movie Love Happy. So sad we lost at age 60.
Always loved her
She was very thin, but obviously not anorexic. She is muscle and sinew, so very strong and fit! Also beautiful, talented and charming!

Her and Donald never got the recognition they deserve
Gorgeous Woman!
I cannot watch this; you flash photos in nanoseconds, and this video’s too short and doesn’t do Vera-Ellen justice.
Dear TheAuntieBa, thank you for expressing my feelings much more politely than I would have!!!!!
It was Norwood. Not norway
Let's discuss the elephant in the room --- why the hyphen?
