This episode is enormous! Traveling from the resort town of Whistler to Jasper via the Sea to Sky Highway, stopping at the Joffre Lakes, hiking epic mountains with glaciers full of wildlife such as elk and bears and meeting up with friends along the way!
    Chapters:
    Introduction 0:00
Squamish & Whistler via Sea to Sky 01:57
We arrive north of Vancouver via ferry across the strait of Georgia and make our way along the Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler. Our first stop on this scenic drive is in the town of Squamish where we check out the magnificent Shannon Falls and Alice Lake before taking in the beautiful Brandywine Falls and catching up with our friend in Whistler.
    Whistler/Blackcomb 08:04
We board the famous gondola to the ‘Top of the world’ where we hike through the towering snow walls before taking the peak2peak gondola across to Blackcomb. There we spot a grazing black bear and get our adrenaline pumping on the longest zip line in North America.
Whistler train wreck & Pemberton 18:37
We hike out along the Cheakamus River to find an old train wreck in the forest. After exploring we head out with friends for a round of disc golf before making our way to the charming Beer Farmers Brewery in Pemberton.
    Joffre Lakes to Kamloops 24:09
After a home cooked breakfast with friends in Pemberton we head out to the famous but stunning Joffre Lakes for a hike that visits all 3 stunning glacial fed lakes. Afterwards we come out of the coast mountains on a scenic drive that leads us down to Kamloops for the evening.
    Kamloops to Jasper 27:56
We depart Kamloops and head for Alberta, visiting the highest mountain in the Rockies, Mt Robson along the way. We arrive into Jasper National Park where we stay with friends at the Whistlers Campground. Here we are visited by wandering Elk and their calves while being amazed by the intelligent tricks performed by our friends Border Collie Charlie.
Jasper and the Sulphur Skyline 32:06
In the morning we explore the beautiful Pyramid Lake and township of Jasper before heading north to one of the most spectacular hikes in the National Park, the Sulphur Skyline. On this trail not only do we get spectacular views but we also encounter chipmunks and herds of mountain goats along the way. We finish up by soaking in the Miette Hot Springs.
    Angel Glacier 40:42
Before saying farewell to our friends and Jasper National Park we take one last hike together to the beautiful Angel Glacier near Mt Edith Cavell. Here we take in this unique looking glacier in a stunning setting before saying our goodbyes. As we continue our journey we encounter another Black Bear on our way to the Icefield Parkway.
Join us in our next episode as we head along one of the most beautiful roads in the world, the Icefield Parkway on our way to the Mountain town of Banff. After exploring town and it’s stunning surroundings we head to the nearby Lake Louise and Moraine Lake where we take on the most epic hike of our entire trip, encountering plenty of wildlife along the way (including more bears). Afterwards we leave the Rockies behind and head west back to Vancouver stopping in Yoho National Park and meeting up with more friends!

Hi there .. great footage and info! Thank you. We're visiting the Rockies for the first time in June (from Australia) and doing a Vancouver Rockies Vancouver loop so your videos are super helpful! The lake you show around 28mins into the clip, where is that please?

Hey I’m glad you enjoyed the video, our episode after this was the Rockies, which is personally my favourite video from Canada so check that out too!
At 28 mins it shows Kamloops but I think you might be referring to around 26mins which is Joffre Lakes (I wrote the location of each place as we arrive if you’re not sure whether it’s the right one). I would highly recommend Joffre Lakes and as mentioned in the video make sure you book on the website in advance to get a parking spot. Have an awesome time!!

Hello, I am driving from Jasper to Whistler week after next. People have said to avoid Kamloops, but I’ve never been. It would be just a one night stop. Thoughts please? Thank you.

Hi, not sure why they said to avoid it, wasn’t a terrible place from what we saw, there just wasn’t much there. So if you are just staying the night to break up the journey then no problems. If you return via Banff it is worth while staying around Kelowna or the lakes down there, very beautiful!
