Hi you used it wrong it will auto jump start a car with a low battery but if the battery is completely dead it won’t detect the car and you must press the bypass button to turn on the power yourself hence why there was no power to the car. Also try something bigger for professional use like a noco gb250+ is what my recovery guy uses. Great video
@hakzman11 is correct. On a completely dead battery, that model has a bypass mode. It's the grey button with the red exclamation mark pointing to it. Press that for 3 seconds then you can jump a completely dead battery. Not all packs have that feature but the Nocos do.
@@ducttape5530 thanks for advice, I used one before , but the problem with these kind of jump box are to weak and you can say-bit is small battery and not holding a-lot of charge, specially if you need it for diagnostic or cranking the car multiple times it will die immediately
Alternator fighting alternator is insane to have never heard elsewhere even in tech school. Is that because there is two different computer control and or reading paths? How their wiring ground paths can allow excess energy back to the computer and hurt it? For a mobile mechanic this is so nice to adhere to it seems. Avoiding any problem you can. It took making self built extremely powerful lifepo4 batteries to understand truly why you disconnect ground first and positive you add first. SO much spark if done the other way. Not sure yet on how it effects the computers and such but you never know when its so proprietary. Did you learn this in a hard way? Or see it in a way you knew it would be a hard way if not followed? Less spark around a failing lead acid battery. Your trick on how to keep the programmed settings is amazing. For all cars you do not know how long they will retain settings at the computer level. Key fob training, tpms training, etc so that is brilliant for a mobile mechanic as well. I subscribed and see all your work helping those like myself gearing towards taking away any work a franchise business leaves open for doing better. Lastly I will add that your approach to cleanliness is so helpful as well.
what would happen if you used a booster on car that you though was weak..but was actually a full battery? my car has been in winter storage and the battery is suppose to be fully charged...but it might not be...could I hook up a booster to it just to make sure it starts?

it was on, but those jump box are too weak for cars like BMW, but thanks tho

Yeah you can it won’t harm the battery and car, but after car starts discontent it
