Oh for sure! We would never do this hike if it was going to rain. We actually delayed it a day due to some light rain to be careful. It was such a fun experience!
Thanks for posting this adventure! Was adding this area (and an extra day) to my plans across Southern Utah in August (my usual Autumn getaway), and this greatly helped my understanding of what I'm getting myself into lol Folks like Josh make our venturing even more of a pleasure; I always find people are friendlier, more talkative and, in general, happier out on the trails, as we are sharing the best of Life and getting the best out of Life. Keep on truckin', kids!
Woo! Glad you’re going to explore this area! And it was great to run into Josh! We normally prefer to not see people on the trail, but we lucked out with him!
Another great video! You do a great job of finding wonderful things which have been off the beaten track. Great images of Highway 12 between Escalante and Boulder starting about 5:15. Great road and great scenery! Thanks for showing the Burr Trail--always wondered about it. The Hole in the Rock road was amazing to see--and real slow to drive. Wonderful views of the slot canyons!
Breakfast burrito connoisseur!! Still laughing! And that shrug when getting passed by other cars- classic! Looks like a ton of fun & what perfect timing for y'all to have a helpful person like Josh around!
That slot canyon was something else. The colors and shapes were so cool. It was was like you both were moving through a huge thing of batter and somebody kept twisting the spoon and moving up and down. Was so enjoyable watching you both figure out each narrow turn as it was upon u 😉
I love, love, LOVE y'all's channel! I started watching just a few months ago and can't wait to see some of the places yall've been! You are so positive and fun and your videography skills are fantastic! Blessings to y'all in your travels!
My boyfriend and I go to UT, and we envy y'all's adventures. We checked out the Escalante region for the first time this January, and we can't wait to go back and explore more. We love your videos!
Thank you so much for sharing the beauty of this world with those who cannot get outdoors like that. Appreciate everything you do and love your spunk :-)
That waterfall was like you had stumbled into another world, stunning. Flippet no way, those canyon slots would totally freak me out, your poor mom musta been horrified. Thanks for another amazing video. Take care on the road.
The waterfall was gorgeous! And the slot canyon alone didn’t scare my mom (as long as it wasn’t raining!), but once she sees that we had to climb up and rappel down, she may have delayed nervousness 😂
Those slot canyons were so cool and beautiful! That rock is so smooth and Mars looking! Glad you didn’t get stuck!😜 Thank you Josh for helping my two favorite adventurers! The burrito and tacos….🤤😋🤤😋
Josh also said his mom is like "why do you go do these adventurous things? why can't you just go to a nice beach resort?" hahaha Glad we had him to help us!
Waterfalls were superb, I've camped close by. Kiva coffee is stunning glad you stopped there, not only is coffee great but the setting. 👍🥰 I also follow Catherine Gregory on UA-cam. She is in Escalante also. Love both of your views of AMAZING Utah. Thanks for sharing. Well done.
Oh my goodness! I am going to dream about crawling through narrow spaces tonight after watching this, but I am so excited to do this someday! We drove through the Grand Staircase, but didn’t stop. I was awed by the beauty of it.
I’m glad y’all think that was fun because OMG that looked scary!! all I was thinking about was that movie where that guy gets his hand stuck under that rock and is in a tight place for days. So brave!
This episode definitely got the heart rate up and nerves going. But super cool that you guys did it and we love being able to experience it through your lenses!
WOW! Our minds are blown! It took us 50 mins to watch 30! Had to keep rewinding! “What did they just climb through?” Thank you for taking us somewhere I KNOW we will not be adventuring too!! Wow! You guys rock! Beautiful video!! Bravo guys! 😊~Cara
Probably the best videos ive ever seen of these hikes! Peek-a-boo is one of my favorites ever. You guys MUST go back and do overnight in Coyote Gulch. Go down Crack-In-The-Wall for one of the best views ever and hike up multiple waterfalls to camp under Jacob Hamblin Arch.
Thanks so much Jake! And we hope to come back another time and rent a more suitable vehicle so we can explore more! We have always wanted to see that arch 😍
I watched a lot of videos of peek-a-boo and spooky before a family trip in april. After hiking it myself and now seeing your video, I think your video was the best! You really caught the beauty and feel, though nothing compared to hiking it in person of course.
You are so lucky the Kiva Koffeehouse was open when you got there. When we did they were closed, it happened to be a Tuesday if I am not mistaking. We were so looking forward to have a great coffee with a view. But no, only the view, which was, as you also pointed out, amazing.
wo wo wo.. noooooo... i'm glad i watched this.. SO beautiful!! I cannot figure out how I could get rid of my claustrophobia to make it on my own. 😩. Maybe I could go PART way.. and then turn back quickly (and crying). I've done that before. o well.. I got to see the WHOLE thing thanks to you guys. Exhilarating!!
It's great to see that you made it to those Dry Fork canyons. If you plan to do more of those type of canyoneering style canyons, here are a couple tips. Wear old clothes, do not wear a down jacket, and pick up some rubberized garden gloves at a dollar store. We also always make sure that we wear long sleeves and pants when in the canyons, and pack shorts and a cooler top for the hike out on warm days. Keep exploring.
Hi Folks, Great show in Grand places: those who follow you might like to know a couple things of note: There is a path down to the upper Calf Creek falls (from the highway above the canyons) and they are very interesting (lots of green growth). Also in Lower Calf Creek canyon there are some awesome pictographs visible on the great wall on the other side of the canyon when you near the small granary in the side canyon (three helmeted warriors). As for Spooky...plan to lose a few buttons on your jacket and be willing to crouch down or crawl to get through...good travels!
Peekaboo & spooky 👻was my bucketlist w my 12&9 yo kids this summer !! But after watching those very narrow drops....I crossed it out. Thank you!! Too claustrophobic for me!! Definitely not spooky. I can hear us crying stuck not able to move. Enjoyed your video and now I know we are not doing this😍 THANK you!!🥰
Loved and loved this video adventure! Mainly because that is one of my favorite areas. Zion and Bryce are great but when we’re in that area (and Capitol Reef) it feels magical. Lower Calf Creek is one of my favorite hikes and the slot canyons ❤️❤️. However, we did not do peek a boo; we should get back there and do it. We did not feel comfortable with getting up into it and then to get back out. We were even younger then! But we’re more experienced now. 👍. And I’ve also enjoyed the coffee at the Kiva! Is that not a unique place! And I love your comment about the Burr Trail: driving down a giant red hallway; so appropriate! Can’t wait to see what you do at Capitol Reef. 👌
Hi Debra! So happy you enjoyed this adventure and have gotten to experience some of it yourself! It's truly a special area and we loved it (and Capitol Reef) SO much! Can't wait to share what we did there....we crammed in a TON into a short amount of time and had a blast!
Oh my gosh you guys! What a hike! Don't have my girlish body anymore so would NEVER be able to do that! I'm assuming that you didn't have to go back through to get back to your van! Beautiful rock formations! Thanks again!
That place looks beautiful and I’ve never heard of it! I feel the same way about crowds when hiking. It just doesn’t give you the same feeling when there’s a lot of people! When we went to Yosemite there were some mornings we were heading to trailheads at 5:00 am 😊
@@AdventuresofAplusK Yes, but it’s been quite a while. I had forgotten about the climb up just to get into it. By the way, it’s great to kick back and enjoy one of your fun videos to start the weekend. Love the scenery. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for sharing these videos. I visited SE Utah in March, and there is so much to see and do. Looking forward to returning soon, and visiting some of these places.
That was such an exciting adventure. You two are so brave! Your traveling channel is my favorite so far. You are such a charming young couple who like some of my favorite things: dogs, camping, hiking, tacos and 🍦. Thank you for allowing me to journey into places i have not had the pleasure to visit. 😊 I pray for your safety and well being.
Talk about perfect timing! I just pulled into Escalante an hour ago to boondock (since Bryce was too crowded). This video is a great help and intro to the area.
❤What an adventure.. watching this makes my heart race as I'm claustrophobic.. but thank you so much. I felt like I was right there with you on your journey.
The colors of the rocks behind the waterfall are amazing! Such a beautiful scene. Very nice camerawork and editing. The different angles, some slow motion, etc really did a nice job presenting the scene. Adam's breakfast burrito looked fantastic... I too consider myself a breakfast burrito connoisseur so we'll have to compare notes, lol. The Burr trail looked awesome! The drone footage is so helpful for telling the story! There;s no way I could have stopped... we'll have to drive the whole thing! Hole in the Rock overnight camp looked cool! And the slot canyon hike was killer, despite a couple wong turns. Thats what makes it an adventure! And Peek a boo was really neat as well! The arches in the slot were amazing! Katy would NOT like that hike.... gonna have to go solo I'm afraid! But it looks awesome to me!
Your Utah videos were a huge help in planning our Utah trip. Fantastic content. We hiked Lower Calf Creek Falls today (Sunday), and got to the trailhead at 8:00. There were only two other cars there and we had the falls to ourselves...for about 15 minutes. Then the crowds came roaring in and we must have passed 100 or more people on the trail on our hike back and the parking lot was jam packed. Utah has been the most amazing place I've ever visited in my life. Just EPIC at every turn.
We try to tell people….get up and get out there and you’ll have the best experience! Most of the time at least. We’re glad we could help and thanks for watching! 🤙❤️
Just got back from Utah on Saturday next time we go we’re spending two weeks because all we got to see with Zoin and Bryce need at least two weeks Was beautiful and wonderful can’t wait to go back
Definitely recommend 2 weeks to explore! In our 2 months here, we spent about 15 full days actually exploring (and not working) and we were able to see a lot!
Thats an EPIC canyon hike. Great video! Worth doing more than once! Was there last year and LOVED it. Since your on the way to Capitol Reef... Consider hiking Ding and Dang Canyon about 3 hours away. It is within 1 mile of the trail head for Little Wild Horse Canyon. Ding and Dang is more adventurous than the more famous Little Wild Horse Canyon trail (in my opinion). On the way from Capitol Reel, stop in Hanksville, UT to eat at Dukes Slick Rock Grill for a great meal. Not sure if you do this, but when hiking canyons, consider bringing 1" nylon webbing (found on amazon). It is useful to have a strong hand line to assist getting down areas that are under 15 feet. Also good to lower backpacks. We used one at the entrance to Peek-A-Boo.
Heading to south Utah in June for 1st time. Love your videos. Thank you so much for the information and the time it took you to put everything together. Greatly appreciate it. Just not so sure I can fit through this last slot canyon.
Nice vlog! Hell’s backbone grill in Boulder is also a great place to eat. That rope on the down climb in Spooky must have been left by another person. It’s often not there. For others who may attempt this it’s a good idea to be prepared for the assistance of a rope to not be there. Stemming or chimneying can be effective without a rope.
When around the peek a boo and spooky area, you should climb around Devil's Rock Garden, and 20 mile sand dunes, better if you go during Easter and see the kids rolling eggs down the sand dunes.
My brothers and I did the whole entire Hole in the Rock road to the Hole in the Rock by Lake Powell in his Jeep about 12 years ago. It was fun, the road gets a little tougher the closer you get to the Hole in the Rock so better you only went to there in the van. I didn’t do the slot canyons but wish I had, I will have to try that if I go there again.
We hear 4x4 is highly recommended for the last part! Would’ve been super cool to see the actual hole in the rock though! I cannot imagine 35ish more miles on that road 😳😳
Hello from Seattle ( former San Antonian )! Been following you guys for a while now and absolutely loved this experience you guys shared with us! Had me laughing with anxiety 🤣! Thanks again! 😊
My wife and I always enjoy your videos. We started watching as we were doing research for our upcoming vacation to South Dakota, Wyoming, etc. We appreciate your reviews, your lack of politics, wealth of information, and your usual witty comments and fun-loving nature. We were actually wondering what weather app you were using at the beginning of the video? Thanks for the videos, be well, and stay safe always!
Wowee what amazing trails. My wife Karen and I were having burrito envy (we lived in NM for 15 years) but mostly me. Miss the green chili not found here in Portugal.
@@AdventuresofAplusK If you travel to Europe, you could experience withdrawal. When our friends visit from NM, we are requesting that they bring chili powders and some NM green chili seeds. Just about anything seems to grow here in Portugal.
Woah! Those were some narrow slots. Shoutout to Josh for helping you guys through. Utah 12 is an amazingly beautiful highway.
We loved Highway 12! What a gorgeous drive! 😍😍

Hello Adventurers😊😊, WOW! Those deep and super slot canyons were AMAZING to watch! So Capitol Reef is next huh? Looking forward to that.
Stay tuned for a new video in a few hours! Excited to share Capitol Reef!
This must be so enchanting. This might be the best experience from your trip in Utah.
It is definitely in the top 3 things we did!
Josh was an angel 😇
He rocked! So glad we met him!
LOVE the peek a boo portion! What an incredible experience! Tight tight tight!
And thank GOODNESS no flash floods ! That's a scary place to be if it floods ♡

Hi Guys..Good to see Kona is taking charge on this first hike!
Hahaha she loves to take charge of everything! 😅😬
I am so glad you went to lower calf creek falls! It is so beautiful. Utah, a place I call home!
We loved that waterfall! We have wanted to see it for years and it didn't disappoint!
Thank you for taking us along
We loved the calf creek hike. We even swam in the water it was really cold even in August!!
We would’ve loved to swim!

You’re so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Local here, it is esca-lan-tay like you were saying at first. 🙂 but Zion is pronounced like zi-in not zi-on even though that’s how it’s spelled.
Lots of confusing words in Utah! We are aware of Zion, but it’s hard to change a 30 year habit haha, so we dabbled in both pronunciations.
The narrow canyon looked scary but a lot of fun!! Thanks for sharing!
It was a blast!!!
So Amazing! Thank you, so much for sharing the experience with us!
Thanks for watching Brian!
I'm still amazed at how you go from mountains to flat plains in one state!
The scenery here is pretty crazy! 😱
That waterfall was like you had stumbled into another world, stunning. Flippet no way, those canyon slots would totally freak me out, your poor mom musta been horrified. Thanks for another amazing video. Take care on the road.

That area was one of the best surprises in Utah! This hike is a blast!
Oh my goodness! Those calf’s were so cute! I loved to see those canyons and all the tights little spaces. It looked like so much fun!
We LOVED the cows so so much! They made us smile every time! 😍

That was exactly we did. We rewinded several spot as we want to learn their tactic to pass through the incredibly narrow canyon.
Probably the best videos ive ever seen of these hikes! Peek-a-boo is one of my favorites ever.

Thanks so much Jake! And we hope to come back another time and rent a more suitable vehicle so we can explore more! We have always wanted to see that arch 😍
Great video with good mix of hiking trails and those tight slots and then looks like tasty food stops. Need to get here someday. Thanks for sharing.

Those were some really tight spaces, I'm glad you guys didn't freak out.

hahaha we are glad we could virtually squeeze through slot canyons with ya!
It's great to see that you made it to those Dry Fork canyons. If you plan to do more of those type of canyoneering style canyons, here are a couple tips. We also always make sure that we wear long sleeves and pants when in the canyons, and pack shorts and a cooler top for the hike out on warm days. Keep exploring.
Yeah the jacket was a bad choice, especially since it's brand new. I was a bit scared to rip it 😬 But thankfully it survived!
That was really fantastic, Showit to my Thai wife. She never has seen such wild formations. . Very well done, thanks.
Wow, you are very brave! I think I would start screaming for rescue as soon as I felt claustrophobic. Beautiful area and video, thank you!!!
Hahahaha 😂😂
That canyon looked super tight! I'd be afraid that I would get stuck. That area looks amazing and so much fun.

Cool video! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Thank you so much for watching! 😄
Wow, Beautiful place
😍😍
We did Spooky a few years back and hit Magnolias 2 weeks ago! I remembered this video and Magnolias. The food was amazing!!
That's a great spot!
We’d 100% do it again!
And thanks so much for the tips! Unfortunately we went to Capitol Reef a few weeks ago, but will definitely keep this in mind for the future!
That looked like a really fun hike.
Such a blast! Definitely got us out of our comfort zone a bit 🙌🏼
Love Love Love your videos!
We are so glad! Thank you so much for watching!
Heading to south Utah in June for 1st time. Love your videos. Thank you so much for the information and the time it took you to put everything together. Greatly appreciate it. Just not so sure I can fit through this last slot canyon.
We hope you have an amazing trip! And thank you so much for watching!
One day I’ll visit Utah because of y’all.
Woo! That's what we love to hear!
Thank you so much for sharing that! We hope it can help others!
Congratulations on reaching 200K subscribers 🤍🩵I love you guys. Thanks for sharing those great adventures with us
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Poncho lefty! great song
When around the peek a boo and spooky area, you should climb around Devil's Rock Garden, and 20 mile sand dunes, better if you go during Easter and see the kids rolling eggs down the sand dunes.
I'm so glad you guys went there. We are heading down in a weak. Trying to visit as much as we can before the Army moves us out to NJ.
Have a great time! And thank you for your service!
Just loving all your videos
We are so glad!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Yes, it would be rough without 4x4. I would definitely say that 4x4 is best as it gets pretty interesting.
Looks so fun! Man that's awesome. And that coffee shop spot is incredible...and I don't like coffee. Haha...great vid.
It was a blast! And thankfully they have more than coffee so you can enjoy it too!
Really great episode.
Thank you so much Robert!
Yikes! Would never have been able to do the slot canyons, so glad I can travel with you to them. Utah is gorgeous! Stay safe.
Glad we could squeeze through for ya!
@@AdventuresofAplusK 🤣
We did Peek a boo and spooky this summer. Scary!!!!!!!! It was hard!
Love y'all videos.. planning a trip to Zion for mid June . Can't wait!! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you so much for watching, we hope you have a great time!
Oh gosh! Good thing you’re both quite slim, I can’t see how most people would be able to fit in those slot canyons!!!
It definitely requires you to be a specific size or smaller!
I’m so claustrophobic 😱 I’d never be able to do that! You guys are awesome! And you are pronouncing “ESCALANTE” correctly 👌
We definitely lean towards Spanish pronunciations being from Texas!
Fun Couple, because yall go everywhere that I want to go or have been.
Hello from Seattle ( former San Antonian )!
Been following you guys for a while now and absolutely loved this experience you guys shared with us! Had me laughing with anxiety 🤣! Thanks again! 😊
So glad you enjoyed it! We have been excited to share this crazy adventure! Enjoy Seattle for us, we miss it there so much!
Thanks so much Kurt! I believe that was just the apple weather app!
I love your editing. Great interspersed drone shots.
Thanks a bunch!
Excellenr photogrrapjy! Like close-ups of flowers. Looking around Chiang Mai for Mexican food!
wow guys!, your videos are so profesional. I couldn't ask for any higher quality. Thanks a lot!.
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
Wowee what amazing trails. My wife Karen and I were having burrito envy (we lived in NM for 15 years) but mostly me. Miss the green chili not found here in Portugal.
Adam looooves burritos! This one was super tasty!
@@AdventuresofAplusK If you travel to Europe, you could experience withdrawal. When our friends visit from NM, we are requesting that they bring chili powders and some NM green chili seeds. Just about anything seems to grow here in Portugal.
That was seriously intense!!!
What an obstacle course! Hi Kona!
It was the coolest nature made obstacle course we’ve found so far! And Kona says woof! 🐶
Utah is awesome, I went to moab arches national park in September. Loved it. 😍
It’s otherworldly there!
