It sounded like in your video, you are renting your dock for short stays - is that right? Would love to learn more about this as we were trying to plan a trip with our 33 center console, but struggling to find dockage in treasure cay. How can I find out more details, location, etc?

aye. I saw a spray epoxy that will semi-solidify that gravel, but its still fully permeable and can be broken back down if needed. Will keep from all the gravel being kicked out on the decking.

Love the videos Nick, I was in Abaco for the second time last spring and loved it. I’m a private pilot who loves taking my family and exploring the islands in the Bahamas usually in February and March. The weather back in Virginia is cold and it’s a great time to get a break from it. It’s great seeing the island rebuilding after Dorian, a couple weeks after the storm, myself and a couple other friends flew supplies back and forth from Florida to Marsh Harbor, it was truly devastating. I enjoy watching your videos and seeing places where we’ve been. I envy what you do and love the Bahamas, keep up the videos.

    12 'x16' or 14' x 16' looks the best!

Dock looks awesome. You’re definitely on the right track. If I were developing that lot, I’d spend some money on a good site plan first so that the house, gazebo, carport and driveway (pool?) are laid out. Once thats all figured out, then you start building. That way, your construction can be progressively done without any headaches later. Easy on the landscaping; requires continuous work and/or expense, cutting into funtime while you’re there.
    Discount for a long-term dock lease?😉

Start looking for coconuts that are already sprouting on your travels. Start planting them now and in 3 or 4 years they'll be 3 or 4 feet of gray wood. You can always transplant them later if needed to build. Keep in mind when you build the possibility of the neighbor blocking your view if you center the house looking toward the left.

You dont have to cover the entire 16' of that concrete wall. You can have some for outside seating as well. With the house you can square it up to the gazebo but put the front porch on the side towards the sunset. Just my thoughts.

How can I get information on the dockage? We're going to Treasure the week of July 21 with three boats 28, 29 & 39 cc's. We will be there for the week.

If you and the family are really wanting the view of the sunset then you could make the house into an L shape. That way the bottom part of the L, I guess you could say could be the kitchen/living room and then you build a deck off of the living room. This way the kitchen and living room are facing the sunset.

@@EdD-ym6le Haha that sounds about right. I have chimed in a couple conversations on there since and started a couple pretty precise threads, but I really have not been a regular member since I was college a couple years ago. As I continue down this path of making boating and the whole boating world part of my life I am sure I will still be making my stops on THT whenever I can find time between running my brokerage business and this UA-cam channel. I really appreciate the support!
