It has to do with their culture of gift giving and giving a piece of fruit is part of the culture in the business world (i believe) So there is a demand for extremely high end "Designer" fruits. @@jj-fk9ez Nah, it's because in this region of the world mango trees grow without even trying. Here in Panama I can get huge juicy mangoes for free. Costa Rica has way better climate than us so, yeah.
