@@Apeaceofthewoods I’ve just completed the build of a Moonlander for my truck and am SO excited to get out and camp! No canoeing for me - too much like work! 🤣
Nice trip. I’ve never been to this area but will for sure check it out. I’ve been hiking the porcupine mountains for years. If you haven’t been there that’s also a great area along Superior. Just recently finished a trip to the boundary waters out in Minnesota video to come soon. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
@@Apeaceofthewoods The fishing is awesome in the Sylvania, but you need to adopt to the artificial only regs and the crystal clear water. I have fished all my life and that place threw me some curves as well, so don't feel bad. All I can tell you is if what your doing is not working try something else.
If you enjoy camping and hiking and the outdoors if you don’t mind some advice from a much older woman. My first suggestion is in the fall when out and you see lots of birch bark pick up a bunch of it, and I mean have a pouch specifically for fire starting tinder. Fall is the best time to gather tinder, even if you are just out on a hike take an empty pouch with you and gather the unload it when your at home, next walk take your pouch if you don’t see any dry tinder material not a big deal because you will have a big stock pile at home to take a fire starting pouch with you when your going camping. Hello there, you can use any dead fall wood that you can find on the ground & off the ground. If it's not touching the ground & it is dead wood, you can use it with no problems. if it's dead & standing push it over if its not to large to do so. They just don't want people cutting down good growing green tree's. Just an FYI. Love your videos & how you are doing it by yourself the hands on experience is th4 best way to learn so keep up the great work and stay aware of your surroundings keep the videos coming and stay safe out there. 🙏😊
This was a pretty ambitious trip, and you handled it well. If your camp cooking is any indication, your meals at home must look like they were prepared by a chef?
@@Apeaceofthewoods You are correct, when I was younger I used to do much more than I am able now. Past injuries have caught up with me, but I still enjoy as much as I can. Keep on experiencing Michigan and be safe!
I hope Joe Robinet is watching these as he recovers from his accident. He'd be so proud of you. You remind me of him, when he started out, years ago. I'm so impressed with you. You're an amazing young woman.
This comment is so sweet…thank you! Like many others Joe was a huge inspiration. For you to say that is the biggest compliment. I really appreciate you. Thank you again
Sylvania Wilderness is so beautiful! (But you already know that) I love that you grind your way through obstacles (logs, steep hills, portages) with minimal bitching (at least on camera) You sure seem to carry a lotta stuff. No wonder you're exhausted after those long portages! There actually is good fishing @ Sylvania, but it depends some on the lake, time & weather. I hope you're still solo camping in 30 or 40 years. I'm 67 and I still do! Keep on adventuring!
You are becoming a survivalist with each adventure. I hope everyone who watches clicks subscribe and like. Your humble honesty is a blessing and a privilege to watch. So glad to have found your channel.
Haha I’m definitely learning with each adventure ☺️ would be nice to get better at making fires and securing food, but hopefully one day I’ll get there. I really appreciate you ☺️☺️
Just stumbled upon your channel……immediately thought of my grandson who is also a mostly solo camper/fisherman….he is also from the Detroit area and loves upper peninsula and northern Michigan camping. He is an experienced fisherman and loves nature and camping. He enjoys the solitude, peace and spending alone time with God in His beautiful creation. He has camped and fished in many states….with a goal of visiting all 50. We are very proud of him and look forward to every adventure on u-tube. If you are interested….his channel is bassbros. I’m now a subscriber and look forward to more videos!
I’m already a subscriber of his and commented on his video at Big Island Lake Wilderness! He does an amazing job filming and editing his videos. I can see why you’re so proud ☺️☺️ appreciate you subscribing. Thank you 🙏
I’m a Michigan native and camper and new subscriber. Best state ever. And so many who visit never hit the U.P. It’s the best part! I’ve been binging your videos! You amaze me with your heavy lifting!im currently not too far from where you were in this video only I’m here 2 weeks later.
It amazes me how people outside of the state have no idea how beautiful Michigan is…I didn’t know until I moved here. Even then it took me years to get up to the UP…which is the best part for sure! I hope you’re enjoying Lake Gogebic. That area looks stunning. I can’t wait to get up to Lake Superior. Thank you again for watching ☺️☺️☺️
@ You’ve probably never been here or if you have you saw Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Dunes and that’s it. I stand by it, all 4 seasons, great wine country, sand dunes, Fresh water ocean, great sports, art culture, the highest number of campgrounds in any state. It goes on and on.
@ I lived in Michigan for 26 years but I’ve been all over the US & other countries. I stand my OPINION & It’s a reason Michiganders retire in Florida & not in their home state.
I absolutely love these videos! Great editing for one, and I love the fact that you film so close to where I am, I think that's so wonderful how I can follow along on Google maps and track your hikes. Very educational! Keep it up 💯
I’ve heard about Sylvania (went to school up in Houghton) but never went. I’ll have to put it on the bucket list now, absolutely beautiful. Great video.
Another stunning video Woodsy, I can so relate to the wind and fish trying to test your resolve. Those portages , wow you have grit. Thank you for sharing yourself and your stunning meals. So fun to watch true reality. Looking forward to seeing your winter camps!
Aww thank you!! Those 2 things tend to test me the most on the trips lol. Portaging isn’t very fun but I’d love to get to a point where they aren’t as challenging for me so that I can take on some bigger trips and get to more remote places. I appreciate you, thank you again ☺️☺️
@@Apeaceofthewoods as someone who's new to solo camping myself I really relate to your videos and it makes me feel better about doing everything on my own. I can see you becoming the biggest camping UA-camr for sure
You’re doing great Woodsy , I told a friend of mine on UA-cam that has a camping channel. Anyway I told Tony about your channel. He had a stroke 2 years ago , but even though his right side was affected , he didn’t miss miss much time in the woods. He said he would check in to see if he could offer any encouragement or advice you might need on anything. His channel is Random Adventures ( or RA 2.0). He’s a hammock camper , car camper , and a stealth camper ( love his stealth camping). And he’s pretty funny. And if you need any help or encouragement, please hit Tony or me up. Keep on , Keeping on and being you and you’ll do good.
A couple of notes; best trip because your gaining experience, things get a bit easier with knowledge. And your adventures have won you another subscriber.
Totally impressed. You can get pads for your canoe yoke to make the portages more comfortable. Water filter is the best way to go. Filters are incredibly good. Once filtered your water probably has less contaminants then water from home. Your channel is the best on youtube!
I appreciate that ☺️. The removable yoke I have is padded, I think I’m just not used to having that much weight concentrated right on my shoulders like that. Logically I know that’s 100% true, I just need to get out of my head about it 😂 WOW that is an insanely huge compliment. Especially with so many great outdoor channels out there. THANK YOU!
😊 Great video glad to see you again. Maybe they were cold so went to the fire pit. Yummy 😋 food as always. U always make me hungry watching your videos . Enjoy the weather, Fall is right around the corner. That wind looks strong. 😮 U R outstanding for doing this all by your self Amazing 👏. Thank you for a excellent video
Maybe so, I was thinking the same thing. I can’t think of any other reason why there were so many frogs/toads hanging out in and around fire pits. Haha thank you ☺️ the weather was perfect- other than the wind …although I’ve come to expect it lol. Also looking forward to fall…it’s such a beautiful time to camp. Appreciate you ☺️ thank you so much!
Thank you! The pack was pretty heavy. Would have been tough if I have to go much further than I did. Are they rare? They didn’t even look real to me…such an interesting plant.
I absolutely love your videos, your voice and cadence and just how much you enjoy what you do. Also you’re simply the most beautiful person in the world. Much love, take care and keep enjoying life 🫶🏻🫶🏻
@@Apeaceofthewoods just keep sharing your journey and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before you can quit your day job and just focus on doing what you love!
Haha feels like it’s not happening fast enough! But I enjoyed the loop…literally can’t wait for the next one ☺️. Haha that toad deserved nothing but kindness. Take care ☺️☺️☺️
Those frogs just like hanging out by the campfire. Can't blame them. Woodsy the camping girl a natural beauty in the beauty of nature. BTW your campfire meals look tasty.
Never give up, half the fun is learning and enjoy every moment in the wild! A maroon color scotch brite pad will clean that bit of surface rust on your knife then wipe a bit of oil on it. I cant remember how many fishing rods I costomized by shortening the tips😅. You can buy a rod tip repair kit for a few bucks. It has a few sizes of rod tips and a stick of hot glue you melt with a lighter. Northwoods has them by the stringers and stuff. For paddle trolling you can't beat a rapala in black and silver. Add a wire leader so a big pike doesn't take it home with him and hang on😅. Thanks for sharing your great adventures!
Omg thank you!! I’ll try that before tossing it for a new one. 😂😂😂 how funny. This rod was the $19 one I got from Walmart so in this case it’s probably worth it to replace it and get a case for next time. I should probably keep one of those repair kits on hand though! Also going to get that Rapala and see if it does better than the blue ice minnow thing I had. Thank you for always coming with great tips. AND Thank you again for the info on that lake!
@@Apeaceofthewoods Glad to help, you have a really cool channel and go to places I have either been to or haven't been to yet! Adventure Chasing is another great channel for that. You take on challenges as you are learning better than most guys I know that have decades of experience! 😅 A few years ago I started using those rubberized twist ties called Gear Ties to keep fishing rods protected and tangle proof. Take the rod down in half side by side and have the tip alongside the other rod sections handle end so it's not past its end, then wrap the ties tight a few times around both ends of the rod sections. These work way better than the things made for fishing rods. I could have saved so much money over the years...😅
Great content as always! I commend you on firestarting ability. I would like to offer a valuable hack - mix a bunch of cotton balls with petroleum jelly. They light very quickly. I store them in pill bottles. They are great to use during wet or windy weather, or even just to start a fire quickly. Waterproof matches are also very handy. Looking forward to more videos!
Thank you!! I actually received this advice in a couple other videos and did use it on this trip! Works so well. Using a pill bottle as a storage container is genius though. Need to get some waterproof matches to keep on hand also. Appreciate it, I can’t wait to make more ☺️☺️
Another great video, you talk the talk and walk the walk, very relatable, real experiences of showing your every day challenges of success and mishaps that we all face in life. Thanks for sharing your experience in our state of northern michigan , much respect young lady.
Hello Woodsy, wow, another amazing trip! Thank you for taking us along! Great food, lots of paddle time, a little fishing, a little bit of bushcraft and lots of very beautiful scenic views which can't be beat, especially those sunrises. The homemade banana pudding was awesome. Great thinking to drop some of that extra food weight making something really yummy in the process. On a side note, that waterproof pack is HUGE! Hats off to you for hauling it around like you did, it looked cumbersome but you made it look easy. For what its worth, have you ever tried a gravity style water filter like the one Lifestraw makes? You fill up the bag with lake, pond or stream water, then attach a water bladder or bottle to the hose that has the filter in line and let gravity do the rest, great when you are at camp and you don't want to lose any time filtering water. Looking forward to your next adventure!
Thank you!!! Always appreciate you watching ☺️☺️ The goal is for more fishing! Maybe in the future lol. Haha it’s 100L so it is pretty big and cumbersome. Still trying to figure out where to dial it in…I’ve only used the Grayl. I would definitely prefer a gravity filter but I couldn’t find any that filter and purify water to the degree that the Grayl does. If you know of any I would love to know! I can’t wait to get out on the next one. Hopefully soon ☺️
@@Apeaceofthewoods Lifestraw makes the Mission Gravity Filter as well as the Peak. I have used the Mission on many trips and especially hikes so I don't have to always carry a bunch of water unless I think that there won't be a good supply to filter near my camp site. Their purity and filter quality should be on par of what you are currently getting with the Grayl while giving you the freedom of letting gravity do the work while you can do other things.....like fish....😁 The Mission comes in 5 and 12 liter capacity and the Peak comes in 3 and 8 liter. Food for thought. Can't wait to see your next trip! Stay safe out there!
Wow. You are absolutely beautiful. Absolutely committed. Strong and confident. I thought I loved you before. Now I’m really invested. This is by far your best work. And I imagine your toughest challenge. I so admire you for your bravery and commitment. Absolutely loved this. Please keep going. Don’t ever stop doing what you love. We are here for it 💯. you did get a flame with the ferro rod so that part worked. I usually prepare by ripping a small handful of birch bark strips and have them ready for nourishing the flame. right there timing is crucial. The kindling I saw you had present and ready. I very much enjoy your videos and I notice that you are learning. Thanks for sharing.
I wish I would have done that! I realized when I had the little flame that I wasn’t ready for what came next and before I knew it it was gone :( . I’m really happy to hear that…and yes I’m learning. Thank you! ☺️
That place is very beautiful. Imagine, even in this fallen world the beauty God created is still awe inspiring. Fall I think is a very nice time of the year to go camping. Your videos are peaceful and relaxing; thank you. 🍁😊👍
Very much so. I’m in awe on every trip…this one in particular. It makes me so grateful and appreciative. I’m excited for fall camping. Thank you so much for watching ☺️
@@Apeaceofthewoods You're very welcome, Woodsy, I look forward to seeing you in your next adventure. Thank you for bringing us along. Fall time is really beautiful in places like that. 🍁 🍂🙂👍
Love watching you learn as you go! Especially with the fishing! you really need to watch a few fishing videos on how to use small jigs and plastic baits... whoever told you to put a lead weight in front of the lure knows very little about fishing! Either get some weighted jigs or fish out of the wind in areas where your bait will sink without needing the extra weight -- that weight ruins the movement of the bait. Keep on truckin! You'll get better as you go! Thanks for taking us along as you learn!
Well panned & well executed trip. You crushed it Stud! I don't think you missed a single body of water in the whole chain. I'll bet you went home a little sore. lol. I always troll a line off each side to equal out the drag on my kayak when I change locations, and often get bites. Thanks for another great video It's always good to see you.
Haha thank you!! There are a few more lakes I’d like to get to when I go again, that were further South and had longer portages. I wasn’t quite as sore as I thought I would be. I think sleeping in til 9 every day helped 😂 I appreciate you always being there for the adventures ☺️☺️
Hi, thanks for another video! I understand the struggles behind the scenes. Good job! Most amazing ideas for food, better than I've seen on other's videos. Nice.
Three days ago I stumbled upon your channel and binged watch at 3 in the morning. So when I saw a new upload I flew to watch it. Your content is awesome! Thank you for sharing.❤❤

Love this! I admire the honesty of you facing your real fears, questioning your abilities and yet you STILL forge forward, determined to enjoy nature! You’re an inspiration to many other young women to venture outdoors solo, and learn on your own. Be safe, happy trails, and kudos to you!👍🏽🙏🏽💪🏽
Love and appreciate the kind words! I could only dream of being a part of the inspiration for others to go out and experience the beauty of nature. Thank you so much ☺️
Yet another great adventure. Thank you for sharing. When it comes to water, don't be afraid to bring it to a rolling boil after you filter it if it makes you feel better. I've had what the old timers called "beaver fever" from water. Not fun to deal with.
@Apeaceofthewoods lol, no actually. I was in my late teens, at my grandfather's camp and just stuck my face right in the creek as I had done countless times. That day was not my day. Diarrhea so bad, lost weight and had to be put on a cycle of antibiotics. Hard lesson learned that day.
Enjoy your channel and the beautiful lakes in that part of the country! I'm a cyclist and live in Cary, NC & mostly ride around the greenway trails here with several trips each summer to different areas on the bike. I lived in the Twin Cities way back in the late 80's & early 90's & appreciate the great white North (but the winters can be a bit much up there, Lol). Kayaking, canoeing, & all the hiking you do appears to be a great work-out! I Keep up the good work and enjoy!
Aww I’m happy to hear that! I’ve been to Cary NC right outside of Raleigh. That is a really nice area. A few years ago when I spent time there it was growing fast! I actually love the changing seasons in this part of the country…when I get tired of the hot weather it cools down…winter is a bit long but getting shorter every year. They are a workout for sure…and motivate me to workout more off trip so I can handle them! Thank you so much ☺️ take care
Waaaahoooo... a new video haha Really enjoyed this 1 and all the scenery ! Living in Michigan is so much fun in the summer, so many outdoor activities and beautiful lakes. I used to love boating on St. Clair shores. The steak looked perfect 👌
I’m happy to hear that. Funny enough…I’ve never been to St. Clair Shores! Thank you! Might had been a tad over but it was pretty close ☺️☺️ appreciate you watching! Thank you
We “stumbled” upon your channel today and glad we did. Most don’t show the challenges open and honestly. You are an inspiring folks to get out there and give it a go!
Aww well I’m happy too ☺️ thank you! I hope so! It took me a while before I had the confidence to get out and do it. Eventually watching others gave me the push I needed ☺️
I absolutely love your videos! You are an inspiration to those that want to try solo camping/canoeing, but maybe are too afraid to commit. You are fierce! Michigan is so beautiful. I appreciate that you show both the good and the bad (or the successes and the mishaps) where not everything goes smoothly or according to plan. Thank you for keeping it real.
Aww thank you!! That makes me really happy ☺️☺️☺️ I could only hope to be an inspiration to others…as others have been for me. Haha things don’t always go smoothly that’s for sure…I appreciate you coming along for the journey ☺️
What another beautiful trip this was...just love the lakes and surrounding forest. Your food looks really delish. The frogs you encountered aren't 🐸 frogs, they are toads 😊. The birch bark should be lit while you're holding it, then lay it down and gently lay the little sticks on it 😊. Be safe out there.
Thank you so much for continuing to watch ☺️ haha I wasn’t sure so I figured it was safe to call them frogs bc I think toads are a type of frog if I’m not mistaken. Ahh thank you, that helps. I appreciate that tip and can see how it would work better than what I’m doing…I’m sure it will help me get my fires going more easily in the future ☺️ and yes, I will be safe for sure.
This is so fun. We get to watch the joy of discovery with a bright and brave youngster and for us older people a chance to relive old memories. Don't You Worry About a Thing. In no time at all you will instinctively know how to handle Rogue toads. Internet or otherwise.
@Apeaceofthewoods it was my pleasure ma'am. As I'm sure you are well aware, and just as certain that your UA-cam demographics bear this out, your " presence" is absolutely striking. I wish you the best of luck, not because you need it. But more because you DO handle that kind of attention so gracefully. Don't change a thing. Carry on then.
Stumbled across your channel by accident and now I'm hooked. I love your content and I love the outdoors. I wish I had your courage but since I don't I can just live my dream through you.

Chartreuse 3 inch twister tails with 1/8 or 1/4 ounce jig heads are always a great fishing lure combo. Chartreuse is one of my fav lures colors. I have caught everything from Walleye to Steelhead on it…Great video as always! I would keep my fishing rod in a hard plastic container…but I have broken at least 8 rods on fish, car doors, trunks and lost the top half of a fly rod walking along a trout stream so no big deal. Gives you a reason to buy a new fishing rod!
Adding 3” chartreuse twister tales to my Amazon cart now! lol. We will see how it works for me next time around. Haha ok, I feel better that I’m not the only one breaking things because I’ve gone through so many rods/reels at this point. I haven’t found a telescopic that seems to be any better than the one I had so I might re purchase it and then I was recommended an ugly stick straight rod. Definitely need a cover for sure. With all of the advice I’m getting I should be able to get this figured out!
Ms. Woodsy. It is pretty cool watching you figure things out along the way, and not being afraid to do so. I still have the same "mental block" with the Grayl that you spoke of. I love your choices on the menu. Stay safe out there young Lady.
@@johnny30806 Haha well I’m hoping to look like I have more of a clue this time around 😂 not a full clue just more of one lol. You’ve got the same mental block? Happy to hear I’m not alone in it. Do you just use it anyway or bring your water? Thank you and will do ☺️
@@Apeaceofthewoods I just bought two Grayls a bout a month ago. Its been way to hot here in Texas to do much. Thanks for another absolutely wonderful video of your adventures 🤩 As so many others mentioned in the comments. Your adventures are so full of enthusiasm and inspire so much and above all they are down-to-earth, which makes me (and I think many others here too) recognize yourself in the micro-adventures you do when you are free from work . (Although I have never set out on an adventure as long as 5 days, which you do in this video) What a beautiful nature you are paddling in and 13:47 into the video you are paddling towards a beach and that sequence/image is absolutely amazing which made me think of another thing :-) The tip for the series "From" I started watching it after you mentioned it in a previous video you posted and I was completely hooked on that series - Thank you so much. You hit another classic Michigan get-a-way! It's cool you had an extended period of time to spend there over the holiday weekend. In addition to the link you provided, there is also a small book that I've read called, "Sylvania-Where Man Is A Visitor" by Marv & Norma Jean Lauritsen. Although older (2006), it explains the area's history & a blurb about each lake (including what species of fish are in each one). I'm still collecting gear & planning a trip to the UP in a few weeks. Until then, thanks for sharing your experiences!
Thank you!! I would have loved to have heard of that book before this trip. Might have helped me catch a fish out there! But looks like an interesting read anyway. Hope you have fun on your trip in a few weeks…I’m sure you will ☺️

"if I've learned anything, it's that if I'm unsure, it's to not do it" wise words from a young lady
Haha if I’ve ever found myself in a situation, it’s because I instinctively questioned it and went ahead with it anyway
@@Apeaceofthewoods yes, the key to adventure. following your instincts is not being unsure! trust them. you're doing it right.
From a Michigander myself, thank you for the help in spreading the word on the beauty this state beholds!
We are lucky to be here in a state that is so beautiful with so many opportunities to get out into nature ☺️

Idk about best state ever 😬😬😬
Yes definitely do! I didn’t realize how beautiful of an area it was before being there in person. Thank you ☺️☺️
I really hope you become a star. Watching you learn the tricks of the trade of solo camping is a pure joy

So cool to see a person just go and get out there. Very inspiring!!!

You’re so right…each trip feels like the best because I feel more confident ☺️ I appreciate you!
Totally impressed. You can get pads for your canoe yoke to make the portages more comfortable. Water filter is the best way to go. Filters are incredibly good. Once filtered your water probably has less contaminants then water from home. Your channel is the best on youtube!
Not sure her set-up here but 8:01 & 11:20 ? I think she carries a padded yoke with her. Haven't canoed in 25 years so...
THANK YOU!

Aww thank you for coming along ☺️

Looks really Beautiful and Peaceful, love watching your Adventures Beautiful, thanks for sharing.💯💖
Sylvania is stunning. More beautiful than I was able to get on camera. Thank, appreciate you watching ☺️☺️☺️

Appreciate that, thank you for watching ☺️ oh so you have had Beaver Fever? Was it from water you out through a filter?
@Apeaceofthewoods lol, no actually. I was in my late teens, at my grandfather's camp and just stuck my face right in the creek as I had done countless times. That day was not my day. Diarrhea so bad, lost weight and had to be put on a cycle of antibiotics. Hard lesson learned that day.

Haha I know there is…just trying to make myself feel better about not even catching one of them lol. I did have a blast anyway though ☺️☺️☺️

😂😂 i’m glad I’m an expert somewhere. Haha even with the struggles it’s always a fun time😊😊😊
Crushing it again! Nice job. Making us all look bad with your gourmet meals out there too! I am going to need to step it up.
Haha I appreciate you ☺️☺️ still experimenting with dehydrating. Hopefully I can come up with some good recipes!
@@ApeaceofthewoodsOhhh! How about a little "back woods food prep with Woodsy" videos!
Thanks for taking us along, awesome trip.
Thank you for coming along with me ☺️☺️
Im so glad I stumbled upon your channel...Great videos 😊
Fantastic canoe trip I real enjoyed to see the lakes , and the food you cooked looks so good . Thank you for showing
This is my new favorite channel. I like watching videos of someone going solo in the wilderness. Also I'm from the same area (Wyandotte) your from. Love your videos and have fun...
That’s insane to me but I really appreciate it! So you’re not too far ☺️ I really appreciate you. Definitely having fun and will continue to do so ☺️☺️
I love your channel. Very cool how you are progressing in length of time camping.
Aww I appreciate that ☺️ so happy that you can see the progression!
I love the way you show off our beautiful state.
☺️☺️☺️
Hey young Lady, you have brought tears of joy watching your beautiful videos! I am so happy to have found your channel! I am 70 yo trout bumb, whose walked, fished and camped throughout the UP. It’s so COOL to see you embark on these camping adventures!! Then filming it all!!! I got my Daughter and Grandson hiking and camping and they love it! Please be careful and have a good emergency first aid kit! Basic first aid training, and most importantly always be aware of your surroundings, stay hydrated! Thank you for sharing your experiences and adventures! Just wait till you catch your first Trout! HAPPY TRAILS! THANK YOU
Aww makes me tear up to read this! I love that you’re passing on your love for the outdoors. They are lucky to have your guidance ❤️ I will definitely be careful and do keep a first aid kit handy. Very good advice ☺️ thank you for coming along ☺️☺️ haha I’ll be so happy I don’t know what I’ll do when that day comes. THANK YOU!!
I was up in that area backpacking at the same time. It is so awesome. Returning in a couple weeks for the awesome Fall colors.
What area were you backpacking? There are a few places I’d like to backpack up that way ☺️
Thanks for taking me on your discovery journey, have watched your videos for a while now
Aww thank you for coming along for the journey! I appreciate you ☺️☺️
Awesome video! I love seeing you discover and figure it out as you go. Northern Michigan looks beautiful. You should come back to Canada to explore Algonquin and Killarney. You would love it! Paddling paradise 😊
Thanks for another absolutely wonderful video of your adventures 🤩
As so many others mentioned in the comments. Your adventures are so full of enthusiasm and inspire so much and above all they are down-to-earth, which makes me (and I think many others here too) recognize yourself in the micro-adventures you do when you are free from work . (Although I have never set out on an adventure as long as 5 days, which you do in this video)
What a beautiful nature you are paddling in and 13:47 into the video you are paddling towards a beach and that sequence/image is absolutely amazing which made me think of another thing :-) The tip for the series "From" I started watching it after you mentioned it in a previous video you posted and I was completely hooked on that series - Thank you so much.
Take care of yourself and your loved ones and I, along with many others, look forward to your next hiking/paddling adventure.
Thank you for always being there to watch and support ☺️☺️☺️. It makes me so happy to know that these videos create some sort of inspiration and that you find them relatable. Makes it that much more fun to make them.
I don’t even think I was able to capture how pretty these lakes were. I was amazed the entire time! Haha you actually stared watching it? I feel kind of bad that I recommended it because I can’t watch it anymore. It was such a good show, but I don’t want any of that in my head when I’m sleeping outside. Hopefully it doesn’t have the same effect on you when you’re out there at night!
You take care also ☺️☺️ hopefully I’ll be able to get to the next one soon
I binge watched your channel this morning as this storm hits the coast of SC keeping me awake. I was out in Wyoming a few weeks ago and I've been dreaming about getting back into the wilderness since getting home. You earned a subscriber. Nice work!
Hopefully you were able to stay safe over there! I feel the same every time a trip ends…soon as I get home I go straight to binge watching other people’s adventures. Thank you so much. Hopefully you’ll make it out on another wilderness trip sooner than later ☺️
You really are amazing! From your 'just do it' attitude to your cooking. I'm just as inspired to go camping as I am to make dinner. Another great video.
This video beautifully captures the essence of a serene camping trip in Northern Michigan. The detailed descriptions of the campsite, the challenges of portaging, and the delicious meals prepared add a personal and engaging touch. The stunning visuals of the wilderness and the candid moments make it feel like we’re right there with you. Truly inspiring and a great reminder of the beauty of nature! Really enjoyed your adventure!
Thank you so so much for this feedback. Im just trying to do these beautiful places justice but I don’t know that I ever can ☺️ I’m really happy to hear that you’re enjoying the adventures. I appreciate you ☺️☺️
So glad I ran into your channel, been watching ever since. I seeing a young lady like yourself doing this. As a Vet. I did my thing while stationed in Europe, I love adventure and seeing different things. Keep up the great awesome adventures.👍🏽👏🏽
Aww thank you!! I’m so happy to hear that. Adventuring in Europe would be a dream. You’re fortunate to have those memories. I will keep it up for sure! Appreciate you ☺️
Keep going good show
Thank you!! Definitely will do ☺️
your meals continue to be so amazing !!!!
☺️☺️☺️ I appreciate that. The dehydrating process is new so I’m happy they turned out pretty good
Great video of an exciting trip. Your meals look fantastic. I just returned this morning from four days in the bush on my own so it was a treat to get a feeling for your adventure.
Thank you! My favorite thing to do after camping is watch other people camping ☺️☺️
Hope you have fun on your trip in a few weeks…I’m sure you will ☺️
Welcome to Michigan 👍👍☺️😊
Thank you!! Love it here ☺️
