Best diesel oil for a 6.7 L power stroke

- In today's video, my friend Mike is coming over to the house so we can change the oil in his F250 pick up truck. Is a 2018 truck with a 6.7 L power stroke diesel. And obviously we're going to use the absolute best diesel oil on the market because Mike really cares about his truck.

I’ll have to check price on Amsoil diesel oil. I’m Amsoil loyal on my Harley’s but on my 12-valve I’ve never used anything but Rotella. Great point on sealant on drain plug I do it on my bikes but never even considered it on my truck.
The ant is going to cost more than the Rotella, but it is so much higher quality, it’s actually cheaper in the long run

I fill my oil filter when I start, then fill it up again after all the air bubbles get pushed out. while greasing the suspension fittings

Amsoil is dead on with oil capacity I run all my cars and mower equipment with Amsoil great stuff

Amsoil filter is made by the parent company of Fram
I’m not sure who the parent company for Fram is but the filter element proprietary Amsoil filter element the housing is produced by a third-party
@@amsoiladam they don’t make their filters they may have a proprietary media that’s similar to fram platinum just saying and anyone who’s vehicle is under warranty should never go beyond the recommended drain interval.

I use the full synthetic on mine but then again it takes 11 1/2 gallons of 15 w 40
That turbo diesel oil by Mobil 1 was a damn good oil until they put that CK-4 crap in it. After 100k of using that oil, i changed out that plastic oil pan and installed the metal pan. When i removed that pan, my engine looked brand new inside, and i say it's because of that Mobil 1 turbo truck oil. Is this Amz Oil Ford approved?

All 6.7 have a screw on filter in same location as the one you're working on.
Good info, I thought some of them had the cartridge type on top of the engine like the 6.0 and the 6.4 did
What do you think about Valvoline Premium Blue Restore 10w30 oil ?
I’d have to look at some actual data to compare, however, usually when they use words like “restore” and their title is because they’ve added some type of an additive or a thickening agent to help with high mileage vehicles. If you do not have a high mileage vehicle, this may be unnecessary to use.
Which AMSOIL oil works with the 2022 Ram 1500 ecodiesel I believe I have the GEN 3 motor
I would have to look up to verify the viscosity, but most of those newer eco-diesel engines use the lighter 30 weight
I wish I could change my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek to amsoil but they claim cause I have what is left of a ten year warranty I have to use Subaru's oil and they only get oils by the barrel do i have to go to the dealership.
You may have been lied to, if you live in the United States it is against federal law for them to require you to use their brand of motor oil in order to remain warranty compliant. Unless they provide the service and the product for you absolutely free of charge.
What do you guys think about Schaffers Diesel oil? Asking for a friend 😂
I haven’t had any test from them to be able to compare, but I hear that it’s pretty decent. I just have not been able to confirm that.
