The difference is Ohio State could match Georgia talent for talent, everyone who is a logical college football fan knows that TCU was going to be outmatched, if Georgia pounced on them the game was over.
And Tennessee was better than Bama. Same record, higher strength of schedule and beat Alabama and embarrassed LSU who beat Bama. We proved against Clemson we shouldn't have been punished for having a backup QB. Also, our losses were one to Georgia and one to South Carolina....two teams Bama didn't have to play
The talent will be spread out among all the SEC and B1G teams when the new tv deals kick in and unionization and college player salaries become a reality.
Stetson is undersized and not prototypical. He won two National Championships! That speaks of his greatness. Never overlook the heart of the individual.
No just college is so less consistent than the pros that you need to let in more teams than 4 bc they can play amazing all year and get there and run out of gas or choke....8 or 12 teams would be a lot more fun for us fans
IN 2 YEARS, Stetson Bennett has gone from a 23 year old trying as a walk-on to even make a D1 college roster with Georgia's coaches advising him to give up from lack of talent, to quarterbacking back-to-back national championships and likely getting drafted into the NFL. Add in the fact he's from Georgia and had wanted to quarterback the Bulldogs since early childhood, and this story is a legit movie. Even if he's a backup in the NFL, minimum rookie salary in the NFL starts at $705,000 a year. Hold a backup gig for 4 or 5 years and he's a multimillionaire. Not to mention 101 opportunities in Georgia and beyond from his legendary status now. This dude just showed the world what can happen if you never give up on your dreams.
Kirby offered stet a scholarship before he left the program to keep him around. Why would they "advise him to give up" while trying to get him to stay?
I’m glad TCU finally made the championship game, because it’s probably the last time the committee is letting a Big-12 in ever again before expansion. TCU needs talent and cant get it because NIL. all the bums are on the 8-5 overrated Texas team
Georgia coming back again next year ... Im a Auburn fan. We have to play them and Alabama every year. TCU got a taste of one SEC team. Can they imagine playing more teams. 😳 Get ya weight up TCU 💪
This TCU team wasn't as good as their 2010 and 2014 teams (the 2014 team annihilated Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl). The fact that they just kept winning this year really did defy the odds.
The crazy part is it's not like TCU "shouldn't have been in the game". TCU just dropped 51 on undefeated Michigan the week before! They beat other ranked teams like Kansas St. and Texas earlier in the year. Not to mention Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., Texas Tech, Baylor, etc. Their only loss was in a rematch with Kansas St. which they lost to by 3 in overtime. So they earned the right to play in the game. But bottom line is, Georgia is just that good. They completely destroyed RANKED SEC TEAMS like LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee, etc. The actual shocker is that Ohio St. almost beat them.
Nobody from the Big 12 deserves to be in the CFP, no matter what their record is… until the conference learns that you also have to play defense in a football game.

Expanding the playoffs should help some of these teams with recruiting knowing more teams will get in should give guys more choices to spread some talent around
Expanding the playoff will mean more SEC vs SEC Natties. There's gonna be a lot of buyer's remorse when that happens. If the playoff had expanded already this year, it would have been Bama vs GA again in the Natty.
As a Dawgs fan I totally commend TCU for their year. They won the proper games to be there. I am glad we won, but it definitely should be more about the disparity of recruiting classes rather than whether TCU deserved to be in the game or not. If they didn't deserve it, Michigan should've won. (although what is a targeting call these days?) The argument is that someone else deserved to be in the game. Who? Michigan got beat by TCU, Ohio state couldn't beat Michigan, everyone else had 2 losses. Who else won the appropriate games to be in that final? Hats off to TCU. Sorry the recruiting isn't there.
That’s 2 National Championships Ohio has left on the table. The team with Zeke,Bosa and all the other bad boys. And this year, they had Georgia beaten but couldn’t close the deal!
The SEC isn't just better. Georgia is. Shannon just up and dismissed Georgia being taken the distance by OSU in what was essentially a home playoff game for Georgia. When USC hosts Alabama in a National semi final in the Rose Bowl, we will hear nothing but how unfair it is from SEC fans.
I knew TCU wasn't going to be able to hang against a team from the SEC whether it was Georgia, LSU, Alabama, ]Tennessee cause their competition was weak and lost their conference championship game against Kansas State who by the way got throttled by Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. That loss against KSU should've knocked them out the CFP top 4 which would allowed Alabama to slide in at #4 and Ohio State at #3. Hopefully the committee gets it right next year

exactly. it’s not even fair and no small school will compete with transfers and recruiting trees and NIL
The talent disparity between 4/5 star recruits vs 3/4 star recruits isn’t THAT significant. More going on there than talent disparity. Use your brain.

FOR TCU........IT WAS LIKE A ''DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS EVENING..''..WHEN DUGGAN MET THE GEORGIA DEFENSE.....
The difference is Ohio State could match Georgia talent for talent, everyone who is a logical college football fan knows that TCU was going to be outmatched, if Georgia pounced on them the game was over.
That game was like playing Madden on rookie mode!
The Alabama hatred drove the committee to put TCU and OSU over Alabama. The 2 loss Alabama team was better than both 1 loss playoff team.

Georgia is not the new Alabama. Georgia is Georgia.
TCU had no business making the playoffs after Kstate beat them
Nobody from the Big 12 deserves to be in the CFP, no matter what their record is… until the conference learns that you also have to play defense in a football game.

Hierarchy of college football
1. SEC
2. CFP
3. Random conferences of FBS
